Outside observer. New to the forums. I just like East TX football in general. Both these teams are steeped in tradition and carry a lot of respect. I can remember the old days. Boo Garrett running the ball for Corrigan back in the mid 90s. And the likes of “Rooster” and Lorenzo “Heee heeee” Jackson in the mid to late 90s respectively. I haven’t watched Alto in a long time but always thought highly of them. Last I watched them was when Tarlandus Mitchell played. Should be a slugfest. Good luck to both teams.

Welcome to the smoaky!

CC doesn’t have that explosive high scoring offense this year that we’ve been used to having .. but our defense is better than it’s been in a long time!

We just need to make a few adjustments on offense and I believe we will be alright.. I expect us to still show up and give alto one heck of a game

Corrigan Vs. Alto is always an appealing matchup. Corrigan dropped a wide open pass last week in the first half that would have completely changed the momentum and complexion of the game. And they caught a few questionable calls. We’ll see how they rebound on Friday.

Yes sir we dropped 2 passes both were very big... I believe if we could have gotten on the board it would have definitely changed the momentum.. it was only 7 to 0 at half .. and the first score didn’t come til right before..

we definitely needed our offense to give our D a break cause they was doing their job

Great teams through the years for both schools!  You’ve seen some players! 👍

It will be a good game, I just hope the field holds up. We just need to stop turning the ball over, and slow down on penalties.

Field is pretty spongy, and got more rain today! It actually looks pretty decent. Very green and not hardly any mud spots. But the forecast shows more rain on the way, so we’ll see.

They have been bad!! I know they sprayed the school property recently so maybe that solved the problem.

Most definitely exciting! And my goodness it was cold that night!!

And yes sir I remember when he picked that 2 point conversion, everyone thought he was down .. then he shot out from amongst everyone! I almost slipped and rolled down Crockett’s stands from the very top on the home side!😂 and anyone that’s ever been to Crockett knows how high the home stands are!

Lol yes sir they did!!

I enjoy playing at Crockett in the playoffs! It’s a nice stadium and we haven’t never lost at Crockett in the playoffs so that’s always a plus... lol

I don’t remember us having very good success at Crockett’s stadium. I know we lost to Lovelady over there a few years ago in the playoffs and then Groveton way back in like 1994, I think. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s the only two playoff games I remember playing at Monty Jack Driskell Stadium. We DID beat Crockett in the regular season when we played there in 2014.

Nice place though!

Sub-Varsity GAME DAY!  Alto @ Corrigan-Camden TONIGHT!

  • 5:00 p.m. - 8th grade
  • 6:15 p.m.* - 7th grade scrimmage
  • 7:00 p.m.* - JV

* approximate times

You gonna make the drive this evening? We have a very good 8th grade team! I watched them beat Joaquin last week, but the jv game was called for lightning and it was flooding so hard you couldn’t see..
