We will control clock on offense and PG defense will stop most of the runs! If PItt passes, which Gilmer had some success with on the deep passes, can they withstand the turnovers and/or interceptions? This defense has over 20 int’s this year. The most important question is can Pitt stop this potent offense enough to keep it close? Gonna be a great game, but I believe It will be a lot like the regular season game, Pitt scoring early, then PG wearing them down and winning by 20. Exactly I remember that out route that Ben hit Walker on for the TD. Walker beat Jimmerson to the pylon and Jimmerson had the angle. Jimmerson was clearly gassed. The big rb for Pitt only had 2 carries that game, he has had several games since then with over 30 carries. Acewell Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 The way PG gets the ball out so fast and accurate on play action is extremely tough to defend when you are trying to stop that running game. PG secondary covers better than they did last year. Pitt will have to play their best game of the year. I have a feeling they will. Go Pirates! OLEMAN Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Pit is playing great ball but had a tough game against Lorena. I think PG is is just too balanced on O, and are playing well on D to boot. PG makes few mistakes on either side of the ball. I go with PG by 2 scores. This will be an emotional game for both teams.
