Definitely not losing to Ole Miss. Miss State isn't a very good team either. I would be surprised if the Aggies lose one of those games.

Like I said beat both or lose both.  Neither are very good.  If you beat one you should beat both.  On the flip side, if you lose to one you should prolly lose to the other

Anyone know if this has any truth in it?

Just talked to an aggy co-worker who is a season ticket holder and hardcore fan. he said he was at their tailgate after the game and Baylor Cupp's brother was there. He was suppose to meet up with Baylor after the game to go eat, but was canceled because there was a fist fight in the locker room between players and Jimbo wouldn't let them leave.

Just the "aggy" spelling makes me lose any and all trust in it to begin with.

The fact that he also doesn't name his sources ("co-worker" tells me nothing) is another dead giveaway. Anyone can claim to be anything or know anyone on the internet.

I haven’t seen anything on this anywhere, so I’m going to say no. Highly doubt anyone who starts a post with “I just talked to an aggy coworker” knows much about what’s going on in the aggie locker room that isn’t all over message boards.

Beat me too it. This is exactly the type of opposing fan garbage that gets put on message boards and then some jackass tweets it to recruits or parents... nothing to see here.

Oh it came from a Texas board of course, but just wondered if anyone could confirm.

That does seem farfetched. I mean I get the frustrations . I can't imagine a lot of 18 to 20 somethings kids keeping that under wraps. Facebook Twitter something besides a message board on which has been to knowned to troll rivals.

They don't wanna find a game for Texas FTFY

Exactly right.

We already Notre Dame in 2024 and an 8-game SEC schedule.

As has been stated time and time again, we have room for 1 P5 opponent outside of SEC play, wanting the rest to be "tune up" or "recovery" games. That P5 slot has been filled through 2027, the cupcake slots haven't. We filled that cupcake slot with McNeese. Apparently this is rocket science.

Aggies AD said the schedule was full.  He didn’t specify in anything I’ve read.  He said it was full, period.  I don’t blame y’all at all for not wanting it.  Just don’t pee on our boots and say it’s raining

Lmao you're owed absolutely nothing.

If you can't use comprehension and context clues to figure out what he meant (exactly what I said), then that's on you. And it explains so much.

So he’s looking for cupcake guarantee wins.  Like I said, I don’t think y’all really want to play it.  Extra loss each year.

I'm sorry, but when you have 4 OOC games, and 3 of them are looked at as 'tune up games', that's pathetic. And in no way am I aiming that solely at A&M. Every team in the SEC approaches the scheduling of their 4 OOC games the same way.

A team shouldn't need 3 'tune up' games, and as for 'recovery', that's what the bye is for.

You see Ladies and Gentlemen this makes complete sense. That is how college football works. I never understood the narrative that A&M was scared or Texas would win. A&M like many universities will do what best for the school. Nothing else matters .

I mean that's your opinion.... The SEC has one of their OOC games late in the year as a "recovery" game, not frontloaded with cupcakes. I don't mind having a live game (which the bye week is not) that's against a midmajor like UAB.

Using that "pathetic" scheduling, SEC teams still have some of the top SOS in the nation. Last year, 7 of the top 10 SOS were from the SEC. And of those, 4 of the top 5.

I would like big programs like A&M to stay away from Fcs. It not the job to provide Sfa will a payday. A lose/lose situation. Win and thats good. Lose and your Tennessee. Kinda like without the $ Longview playing Carthage.

I'm really glad you understand that, Champ. The same can't be said for some other posters. My rocket science comment was most definitely not directed at you or Lobo. Lobo97 gets it, at least, he just disagrees with it. Which is his prerogative, of course.

I’m for playing games that matter instead of fcs craptastic games.  Teams that hide behind the idea that miss st, ole miss, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, etc are tough are scared and padding the W column.  I’m glad to see Texas scheduling the sec west teams.

They need to cause the schedule isn't that great. I highly doubt A&M wants to help Texas in that area. I imagine they on a collision course meeting in a bowl game.
