I asked two simple questions you didn't really answer. Define "assault weapon", and "do you consider an AR-15 an assault weapon?"

You're aware that semi-automatic pistols are also used in the military, right? Would that make them a military-style weapon?

But to that end, I have to ask: How many of our other Amendments are you willing to start whittling away at? The 1st? Want state run media? Want to not be able to "petition the government for a redress of grievances"? Want the government to tell you how to worship?

How about the 5th? Wanna start whittling away at that? How about the 4th? The 10th?

I was trained in the military in assassination techniques using a variety of "assault weapons" . Are you going to ban pencils?

I’m confused on what they intend to do with an assault weapons ban...  the most common reason we hear assault weapon is in the event of a terroristic mass murder situation.

most of the murders of “innocent women and children” come from handguns obtained on the streets.  

Bad people will find ways to turn the best things into bad things.  Take care of the people, not the things.  

When people know they can murder someone and only get a yr or 2 in jail/prison... that’s not teaching them anything.  Any murder committed in cold blood should have the murderer put to death in a timely fashion.

What's the fire rate of an AR-15? How many rounds do you get when you pull the trigger? Answer: 1.

And by the way, there are rifles that are on the market (semi-autos, I believe) that are actually more powerful than the AR. Why aren't people going after them? You know why? Because the AR looks scarier than other rifles.

And again, you didn't answer my other question. What other amendments should we start to pare down?
