CasualObserver70
27-7 Gilmer at the half. Offense continues to struggle. Gilmer defensive front 7 is nasty. Teams are going to have to throw to move the ball against them.
Cowboyz4life
Gilmer #34 is getting better and better on D. Rotation is also very good on that Gilmer D.

CasualObserver70
A few quick observations 1. Gilmer defense is really good. The passing defense still has some weak links, but the front 7 is really good. They can rotate about 6 kids on the d line, and rotate about 6 linebackers also. Really stout all night. 2. Passing defense is getting better. The safeties in particular are getting good breaks on the ball and coming up to disrupt passes. The corners still need to do better at getting their heads turned and locating the football, but they seem to be improving as well. 3. Please kick deep every time. When Gilmer kicked deep, Bullard was on average 12 yards further back than when they directional kicked. The kicker can get it deep enough with height that they can pin the other teams deep. 4. The offense? Still a work in progress. Gilmer has TONS of talent at the skill positions. But they struggle to consistently get the ball to them. They have an excellent running game, but since there is no QB running threat, eventually teams just key on the RB. And they still make a lot of mistakes. There is potential to be a really good offense, but it just hasn't totally jelled yet. The offense still has big play potential. Hopefully they will get it worked out. Gilmer clearly took care of business tonight, which is good. But district will be tough. There are no easy teams.
