It depends what team shows up. On the other hand CTH has been pretty damn consistent. I didn’t realize how good their defense has been this year until this thread. There are 189 4A football team, through 9 games the Dawgs have given up 76 points. that is the best in 4A. Brownwood has given up 87 and comes in second. Note: of those 76 points only 37 points have been scored on the Dawg starters.

Maybe my peeps will do what it takes to put the best d against the best o in the state!
Eaglesone
I posted that using max preps stats that the Eagles are opposite of that on offense!

One thing to keep in mind is Brownwood has played a team on a different level than anything Carthage has including PG and Gilmer.

I think Marshall is as good as anyone Brownwood has played with the exception of LaVega. Marshall lost to number4 sixA Longview and Carthage. But tell me which of these following points were not scored on starters: L-E ......7 in 1st quarter Marshall......6 in first quarter Gilmer.......final score was 24 -15 P G ........P G was ahead 14 - 7 Van ....... they scored to make it 14 - 7 in the 3rd qtr C H ........7 in 2nd qtr Henderson.......7 in 2nd qtr.

I count 63 points there?? That’s pretty far away from the 37 point claim.

Add 14 and you get 37 or 39. That is what I was basing my information on.
SmoakyBandito
I would say all 14 points against Henderson were against 1st team. I didn’t see the 2’s in that game. 80 came out hurt and 70 went in. So I guess should be 70 of 77 allowed against the starters .

Carthage defense has been great. Top 10 in the state.
Eaglesone
Come on if Argyle’s 2’s playing the entire second half doesn’t count against their scores you can’t be jumping around about this. Argyle is the number one offense in the state. That does include 2’s 3’s and 4’s! Yall make your minds up when the 2’s played on D!

I hear tell Kilgo is “attempting” to commence to begin to start to prepare to consider the possibility of Throwing the ball to another one of their own players!
