Kinda premature for that IMHO.

Huntsville still has Montgomery left to play. And Lake Creek for that matter.    Those may not be gimmies.

Yes Volleyball!!!:)

Well "those" you spoke with really weren't paying very close attention then. While it wasn't a large score disparity it wasn't really that close of a call especially statistically.  Marshall

Someone from Whitehouse complaining about class and sportsmanship... That's irony. Sports or not.

Why be a douche about it?  Nac doesn’t pick their district.  They compete where they are put... and they dominate.  just say congrats and move on.  Don’t see the point in trying to lessen thei

Tbh.  I’d rather face Montgomery or LC.

Three years in a row is too many.  Their fan base is a little ridiculous online.

I’m wondering why we can’t play Lufkin this week seeing that we have a cancelled game and they do too.

What good would that do?? Don't want to chance injury or take the risk of exposure.

Two Longview basketball games today.

Lobos host Whitehouse in their home opener. Lobos (1-0) opened the season on Saturday with a 63-52 victory over North Mesquite in Mesquite.

Well, Girls Basketball. Longview owned girls basketball for a long, long time up until the last decade or so. The guys series is Longview 75-Nacogdoches 35.

Congrats to Marshall, Texas High, Sulphur Springs, and Pine Tree bands.....

All four received first division ratings from all three judges at UIL Region 4 marching contest Tuesday.

Not sure where Mount Pleasant and Greenville were.  COVID?

All four were outstanding.   Congrats again!

Congrats to Lufkin, Longview, Nacogdoches, and Hallsville bands.....

All four received first division ratings from all three judges at UIL Region 21 marching contest Wednesday.

Also congrats to Whitehouse and Jacksonville bands for getting overall first divisions, but received a 2 from one of the judges.

Tyler had a strong day as well with an overall second division.  They did have a first division from one of the judges.

Not 5A..... but Tyler Legacy got straight first divisions too.

—————

That means 10 out of 11 of East Texas’ 5A bands got first divisions at contest this season.  And one with a high second division.

That’s pretty impressive.

Congrats to all!!!

Whitehouse  49

Longview  31

Whitehouse moves to 2-0.  Host Forney on Friday.

Lobos drop to 1-1.

Pretty shocked at the score. I know Hale is still to come from the football team but still. Oh well. They'll get another shot at the Cats in December.

Longview Ladies improved to 1-1 on the season, after a 52-41 over Nac on Tuesday.

Turf is compete.
Fence going up today and tomorrow.
Getting close to completion.

120 yards Covered.  Nothing like it in East Texas.

So thankful and grateful to those that made it happen.

Lady Mav field almost done.  Same with Mav field.

Mav gym is completed.  Looks absolutely incredible.  I’ll have full pics ASAP.  Looks like a brand new facility.  Love the bright red bleachers.

The other four 8-5A division II teams will still be playing seeding-crossover games tonight. Corsicana is at Forney, and Sulphur Springs is at Crandall.

Which is the way it was going to go all along.  I’ve had Lufkin in the 4th spot all year.  No sure thing though because Waller can definitely win that game.

Not necessarily. Porter is mathematically still in play.

Porter choking against New Caney is looming large right now. Spartans win that one and they are in the drivers seat...

Not true. Porter has magnolia and magnolia west left. With 3 district losses. They will end up with 5 total. Even if they had won the NC game, they’d be at 4 district losses after mag and west. So, they’d still be out.

Not that it matters. We all gettin smoked by HP lol burnt toast son

@Matt, just wanted to commend you and your team on a great broadcast. Watch some of the Marshall game, and now watching y'all's pregame show against T High. Great work and A+ professionalism.
