Interesting note:

Barbers Hill and Hallsville also had their softball teams repped at State too.  The Barbers Hill girls beat Hallsville and went on to win state.  Hopefully the Hallsville boys will win and then potentially have a bit of a revenge game for the Ladycats should Barbers Hill win their game as well.  A nice setup for a Championship game.

Complete domination by PG in 13-0 run rule game. Frankly, I think the Stephenville coach under estimated Pleasant Grove. He apparently was saving his ace for the championship game. First three pitchers the Hawks faced had a top end fastball of 72-76 mph. The apparent ace came in in the 4th and was throwing 83-84 mph. Hawks kept pressure on Stephenville throughout the game by bunting and stealing and making them “make the play”. Stephenville had bats, but either hit the ball right at the Hawk fielders or running themselves out of an inning testing the PG catcher (threw out two stealing). Best of luck on Thursday.

Absolutely. Mason Cirkel, Junior lefty. He’s allowed 1 run in 20 innings during the playoffs. He’s a gamer.

Wow they’ve got 2 lefties?? No wonder they’re solid

Impressive for sure

i thought for sure whoever won between sinton and calallan would win state

Best teams don’t always win the title in baseball.   Taking PG big over Rusk since the ace can’t throw.
