Jacks get after it on defense……Gave out a little in the 2nd half but conditioning will get there……If Kingsmil was 6’9” with the same skills, he would be an All American - I think they are stretching it to say he is 6’7”.

Announcers said Buffalo done that 2nd half comeback thing every game so far this season......only 2 that survived it was SFA and Michigan........

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The bracket for the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) was announced on Sunday night and of the 31 participating teams, five will come from the Western Athletic Conference.

Sam Houston was one of 10 automatic qualifiers with Chicago State, NM State, Stephen F. Austin and UT Rio Grande Valley all earning at-large selections.

Sam Houston will open tournament action on Thursday against Evansville in a match played at Chicago State. The host Cougars will then host Bradley with the two winners facing off on Friday.

Stephen F. Austin was also announced as a host, taking on Jackson State on Friday with the winner facing off against Arkansas on Saturday.

The final two WAC squads will both travel to Tucson, Ariz. with UTRGV taking on the host Arizona Wildcats on Friday. Preceding that match will be NM State battling UNLV in a neutral-court match with winners advancing to play Saturday.

This is the fourth edition of the NIVC since its reboot through Triple Crown Sports; the event previously ran from 1989-95. Previous champions of the current NIVC are Georgia Tech (2019), Iowa State (2018) and Ole Miss (2017).

The 2021 NIVC features Round 1 and 2 action from Dec. 2-5, with Round 3 scheduled for Dec. 6-8. The semifinals will be held Dec. 8-11, and the championship match be played Dec. 12-14.

SFA finishes 3-4 at the FT line...

Kansas finishes 21-27 at the FT line...

SFA 21 fouls

Kansas 11 fouls

Tough enough to go into a blue bloods place and get a win. That doesn't help...

Yep. And the Jacks were getting hammered. That was  home cooking at its best.

Bain was a trip on Twitter last night. As well as this morning...

Game we could have won. Refs didn't help but neither did 20 turnovers. The biggest knock I have on this team is consistency. Roti getting hurt (He would have been huge last night), set us back some on consistency as we are working new rotations. We play consistently well and we are right there with NMSU and GCU for the WAC title...

Tarleton is a pain in the TobinFrost. SFA played like doo doo and still had a chance.

Looked like world beaters against UTRGV early, only to struggle in the second half...

Big trip to Huntsville Saturday. Fourth game in a week, hope our legs will hold up. Gotta limit Flagg if we want the win
