Gym, baseball, softball, covered pavilion, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball locker rooms. Improvements at Maverick Stadium And it’s not done yet. Mav Stadium still has some big improvements coming. Local donors, boosters, sponsors, MISD administration, Coach Griedl and his staff, and other partners have made this a reality. A lot of thanks for a lot of people for investing in the community. ESP after building all new schools K-8 in 2018. I don’t live there anymore, but excited for my hometown and its future. But SS and Hallsville have a HUGE game on Friday. A Hallsville win clinches the #3 slot for the Ladycats, while a SS win would force a tie-breaker match next week. This is for seeding.... because the #4 team will have to take on state ranked Lufkin in the first round. RogerDorn Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 Still early for some but don’t forget T High alum Glen Smith who has hosted the Hoopsfest tournament in Dallas at the American Airlines center for the past 15 years is bringing back The Red River Shootout from long ago on Dec 3rd and 4th. I know the tournament in Dallas has teams from all over the country playing against each other Hopefully he can make this tournament once what it was. Duncanville will no doubt be the team to watch. District was weak except for Lufkin. Lufkin might be the class of Region II....but it's hard to say. Region II is always loaded with great teams. DFW usually dominates. Looks like Texas High, Hallsville, and Marshall all have their hands full for the Area round.
