The Melissa/Heritage game is locked in an offensive passing battle at 21-21 with 8 min. left in the 2nd quarter, and they basically kicked when the Argyle/LV game kicked.......just to compare the 2 games.  Argyle/LV is full of running plays and hard-hitting defense with very little passing.  LV took the ensuing kickoff for a 98 yd TD after Argyle took the opening kickoff and marched down to inside the 30, but the drive stalled. Argyle kicked a field goal and then kicked off the LV.  It was 7-3 LV early in this game and the first time all season Argyle has trailed.  Since that time, both teams have gained yardage on the ground and stopped the other short on defense, but Argyle did score in the 2nd qtr on a good pass play.

Then the LV speedster Jesse Majors-sterling knocked the ball out of Hayden Stewart's hands in the endzone right before half.  It was gonna be a TD for Argyle except for the excellent closing speed and great play by Majors-sterling.  Not sure anybody else on the LV team could have made that play.......he's definitely by far the fastest guy on the field. He plays both ways......runs the ball on offense too.  Of course, LV has lots of speedy guys that run the ball on offense this season.

The difference between LV and Celina is not so much the offensive line but the speed and cutback abilities of LV's RB's.  They are just so quick and do a great job of finding those open seams.  They are very quick......too quick for the big guys and kinda hide behind those huge linemen LV has.

LV ain't goin' nowhere.......they are a very good football team.  Just cuz they dropped one to LBJ don't mean they fell from grace.  I knew this was gonna be a real tester for Argyle......esp. since they lost last week in Austin and are playing at home this week......against their nemesis Argyle.
