Argyle would not necessarily stay with this much run the whole game, depending on how things evolve in the game.  And definitely not against other opponents that are not as offensively dangerous as Melissa is this season.  The good part of this offensive scheme is that it allows your team big plays at any time if you run from it successfully.  Argyle has already proven this season against some top defenses(Celina and La Vega) they can successfully run from this offensive scheme in a majority of snaps. That requires an outstanding O-line upfront, and some RB's that can hit the holes on time and with speed.  The timing issue has been disrupted early this season with some high and low snaps to QB Robinson on too many occasions thus far, but I expect that to be corrected starting tonight.  This will help Robinson, the RB's, and the passing game to be more effective than previously this season and buy Robinson more time back there in the passing game.  There's plenty to watch for in this game if you know what to look for......from both teams.

Latest weather forecast for Melissa looks like possible thunderstorms right about now at about 5 pm, then tapering off and maybe none at all until 11 pm.......or possibly some during the game.  It's one of those "hit and miss" type things for storms in the area.......maybe it rains in McKinney or Anna, but not at the stadium during the game in Melissa.  But I would say umbrellas would definitely be in order tonight anyways.

All scores were from turnovers and a short field.....one a very very short field.  Still some high and low snaps to the Argyle QB, but the Cardinals are stacking the middle to stop the run.  QB Robinson is green and not handling the pressure well. His throws so far have been high and off target for the most part.  Melissa's pass rush from the LB's and ends are causing the most problems.  Argyle's playing with two backup O-linemen because of injury.  Argyle's offense needs alot of work still.  Melissa has been stopped by the Argyle D.......but those short fields and Fennegan at the helm gives the advantage to Melissa when they have the ball.......just like I have been writing on this thread all week.

Surprised how Melissa is dominating LOS on both sides.  Argyle didn’t look ready to play tonight.  Argyle has a major hole at QB.  Melissa can stack the box and dare the Argyle QB to beat them but he can’t and he also has almost no time.  I don’t see Argyle scoring 21 in 2nd half, 7 would be a minor miracle.

The offense may not.....

Argyle finally did not show up.......did not run the ball well, did not block well.  Poor Jacob Robinson had guys on him all night long as he was running for his life.  He tried, but he's just a green newbie and it showed.  Melissa scored all their points in the first half on turnovers in Argyle's end of the field.  Robinson threw 2 dying quails up for grabs inside the 10 yd line into the endzone that were easily intercepted.......really poor throws.  One of them he could have run to the pylon for the  score.  It was difficult to watch the offense.  The defense looked very good......but played 3/4 of the game.  Still stopped Melissa drives and got 3 and outs against a superior offensive team.......a very good offensive team with a very good QB.  All in all, just check out the Livestream on Youtube and see for yourself.  A poor offensive effort where Argyle could have easily.....and should have easily......scored at least 2 TDs but gave away the football.  The 3rd TD was stopped at the one yd line, then on a QB sneak for the TD......they called illegal procedure on Argyle and penalized them.  The next play was one of those dying quail throws right to the D-back.   Robinson is not ready.......I knew he wouldn't be......maybe by playoff time.
