The offense side coach did well just very poor coaching on the defense side of the ball, that's what's killing Henderson is the defense side.

Y’all’s QB has a cannon. I just don’t get why he doesn’t take off sometimes. It was there all night!

With this game being in Palestine I don't think it will be decided until the final 3 minutes of the game.  The Wildcats seem to always play the Lions tough especially over the last 3-5 years.  Whoever wins the battle up front will win this game.  The Wildcats usually has plenty of athletes to match up with teams that have good skill players.  Chapel Hill and Henderson come to mind here.  Picking Palestine in an upset.

Sheesh. You were spot on.

Been saying this all year. The Qb has to run the football. Without that, the offense can be stopped. It’s called read option for a reason. Without him pulling and running, there’s no read or option.

It’s almost like he doesn’t know how to run that type of offense.

Preaching to the choir.

Palestine was literally giving him the run and playing coverage deep Bc they knew he wasn’t going to take off running. He ran twice. One was a first down run down the sideline the other was a negative play turned into a positive 4-5 yard gain..

That clearly a coaching issue if non biased people can see. Frustrating because he has the talent and very few linebackers /Dends in high school can match speed. Just do your thing.

You’re saying this is a coaching issue? Weren’t you guys talking about how great the new coach is after Castles was let go?

Pretty sure he wants (and dad wants him) to be seen & recruited as a pro-style and not dual threat QB so he tries to run as little as possible and show off his arm strength and accuracy which he has already won awards for at recruiting events and camps and which also cuts way down on possible injuries.  He can definitely run though and we all wish he would more.  He is 6-4 and 220-225 so he can just fall forward for 2-3 yards and most games there is no one on the entire defense as big as he is (sometimes there’s 1 or 2 but usually not even that and never any who have been bigger yet) and anytime someone is even close to his size they are way slower than him.  Not speaking for them and haven’t heard them say any of this but seems that way.  He’s definitely not running because he can’t run.

Well said, but at times when no one is open for pass the QB should run it but like you say the coach which is he's dad dnt wont him to run the ball as much, very rare you see a player that tall and a Jr. With that type of speed, the QB can run and he be in the end zone before you know it, he can take it to the house, he's twin brother on WR will see alot of looks also.

Well I guess his dad see's his future is more important than his job! He’s there to win games. The defense would be much better if the offense could move the ball and run more plays. Simple math! Less defensive plays= better defensive numbers.

It's another thing, when you dnt have a good defensive coach, of course the Safety coach suppose to be good but the Defensive line coach either needs work or it's the kids on the defensive side not being talented I dnt know, I know the Head coach maining knows offensive not the defense, so we use  what we got and hope next year or few more years Henderson can turn the program back around.
