I'll say this. Gilmer may be holding up the trophy this year. W-OS defense is Carthage's worst match up. Unless I see different, they may be able to hold us to 7 or dare I say a shutout. I'd say 14 is the lucky number for W-OS if we play. One td on a short field bc of turnover and a pick 6. If we stop turning the ball over, we'll be the ones hoisting the Trophy

The WOS defense that gave up 20 to LCM and Silsbee and 26 to Newton??? No, I don't think they will be shutting Carthage out. Or holding Carthage to 7.  It may be a low scoring affair, sure.  If Carthage doesn't protect the ball.  If Carthage does, it's just another game.

Decent chance WOS gets beat in the 3rd round.
And WOS defense  is no better than Jasper’s.

Hirschi 4A D1, is something spectacular.  They can go from :poop: to :trophy: in a year...  I love it, just surprising.

I just need to see them play one decent team without turnovers. Then I can sleep at night.

You need to worry about Celina.
WOS runs the ball 80 percent of the time. Now tell me again who has or will run the ball on The Dawg D.
Gilmer was minus 17 yards at the start of the third quarter. Had I believe 22 total yards running the ball against the Dawgs.

They were 7-3 last year and lost in the first round in a close game

I know that, but weren’t they 2-8 the previous year?  I’m close with one of their staffers… their 7-3 last year wasn’t that impressive… I am guessing some of their sophomores blossomed into stud Jrs during the off-season.  They are blowing out teams that shouldn’t get blown out.  Purely impressive.

Well done.  Vidor facing a Huffman team, once rated #7 by DC, which was decimated by injuries (one poster said 10 out at one time) but is now getting back to full strength.  Also Pirates may have several out this week, including their two top rushers.  A real test for next man up.  Regardless, even if they do lose they deserved a spot based on their record, if only for a week.

I usually don’t because I don’t wanna the Carthage love fest. Usually triggers my drinking.

Actually in this show one of the guys (I can't remember which) predicts Carthage's downfall this year and that Gilmer will hang 48 on them in the State game.
