regaleagle
Argyle not in victory formation yet......3rd and 9 for Argyle. RJ Bunnell runs left and picks up 8 yds.
regaleagle
Argyle is just short of the first down on 4th now with the play clock running. They will have to snap it and stay up for a couple of seconds......and that's the game. Argyle 27 Kennedale 3 Final

regaleagle
Congrats to the Kennedale Wildcats on a very successful season. They played well and hard, but just ran into a a very stout Argyle defense tonight......even though they had a good D themselves.

regaleagle
Argyle with just 167 thru the air tonight and 134 on the ground against this very stout Kennedale Wildcat stunting defense. They blitzed all night long from everywhere, but was not able to shut down Argyle's offense enough. On the other side of the coin......Argyle's D did shut down Kennedale's offense and basically stifled them with poor field position all night long. regaleagle
Copeland was pressured and threw 2 interceptions tonight trying to get rid of the ball quickly......too quickly. He overthrew some open receivers also because of those blitzes, but overall Argyle learned some things tonight and are advancing to the next round. regaleagle
This was the kind of game that Argyle needed before advancing to the 3rd Round, IMHO. They really needed to be tested in ways they haven't been tested for many weeks now. Now the players can see their shortcomings and get back to the basics with even more resolve to improve each week. That's what is required to win this region.
regaleagle
Some other scores from 4A tonight: La Vega 14-10 over Kaufman; Kilgore 28 Stafford 26; Melissa 50 Heritage 41; Stephenville 22 Paris 10; Fredericksburg 14 Calallen 10; Boerne 63 CC Miller 14; LBJ 72 Calhoun 42. CC Calallen game is a shocker. Boerne might be under-rated. Kilgore was too close for comfort.

Calallen is the best at winning a lot of games just not the most important ones.
