He accidentally broke out in that dance in the endzone last week against Waskom and I thought Fannin was gonna kill him 1

Old record was help by 2012 East Bernard of 511 It's a bit odd how they show the yardage on the state championship stat sheets. They show positive rushing yards, negative rushing yards, and then net yardage. The only number anyone cares about is the net yardage. I'm not sure where the 590 comes from, but maybe it was just a typo from wherever you got the number. Franklin had 560 yards gained rushing and 37 yards lost rushing (fairly sure that sacks count as negative rushing yards in high school stats). Net yards of 523.

Gunter defense was no joke and their first team only gave up a handful of scores all year. Franklin got some bad dudes! Also, Gunter hadn't given up more than 42 points since 2012. 1

Him as well as a lot of other boys are very involved with the youth and youth programs here. Great role models for all the kids. They teach them to play hard and with all your heart but to also have fun. That is how sports started for all of us because it was fun. Once you take the joy and fun out of the game you start to struggle and not care anymore

GTAlumnus Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 What can I say - Tigers fought hard but could not stop those two incredible backs. Congratulations Franklin on a well deserved state championship. 1

lionpride08 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Just seen Franklin's head coach Mark Fannin was Maxpreps small school Coach of the Year. #15 for Franklin made the Maxpreps All American team. Franklin also rushed for 7,009 yards this season which is ranked 5th all time in the nation for rushing in a season 2
