regaleagle
4th and 2 and 32 secs left in the half for Stephenville.......they took a timeout, naturally.
regaleagle
Near midfield......going for it.
regaleagle
Nope......LBJ wouldn't jump offsides. So maybe they are gonna punt it now.

regaleagle
The logical call......just punt it and play some D for a couple of plays. Go into halftime with a 21 point lead.
regaleagle
A 17 point lead.

Hagar
Really expected a good game here.  Let a team have repeated fumbles, or several key injuries, and bam, you’ve got a mismatch.
regaleagle
Stephenville has caused teams to fumble all season long. Argyle had 3 fumbles and Stephenville scored on two of them. The other one was at the goal line and prevented Argyle from a TD, but that one was the Argyle player stretching the ball across while being tackled. HE just lost the ball and a bunch of Stephenville players were there to get it.....no surprise.
regaleagle
This ain't no mismatch......Stephenville is just a very disciplined team that will not beat themselves. And they are very opportunistic as well......they will make you pay for your mistakes. Especially after they were the reason and caused your team to make those mistakes. regaleagle
LBJ has plenty of firepower......but so does Stephenville. But the D of Stephenville is just very fundamentally sound.
regaleagle
And those two receivers Eakin and Elston are serious coverage problems with Lambert able to pass or run effectively. And that don't even count their two backs. Their O-line is big and does a good job of protecting and blocking. That gives Lambert the time he needs.
Hagar
I’ll admit, this one isn’t over.  Sv can’t sleep on this 24-7 lead.  LBJ is to explosive.
regaleagle
Yep......LBJ has the guys to score at anytime. If Stephenville is able to score first in the 2nd half, then the comeback gets even tougher. Generally, Stephenville may be able to go tit for tat with LBJ unless LBJ gets some turnovers of their own. regaleagle
I have no answer for that play, lol.
Rob123
Lbj needs to double coverage SV #2 ...SV defensive line is just too big, fast and strong for LBJ run game right now. I think LBj can short pass on them and do ok. Anyway wil see how it goes. Â

regaleagle
And uphill battle for LBJ for sure now. Even Argyle and Melissa never had this kind of deficit to contend with against Stephenville.
regaleagle
In fact, Argyle led the whole game except for the last two minutes.
Acewell
It is definitely not LBJ's day
regaleagle
yeah......they need to turn it around somehow.
regaleagle
But the Stephenville D is just very good and very fundamental.
Eagleborn
Just now, regaleagle said: yeah......they need to turn it around somehow. They came from behind last week. Granted the defense they faced wasn’t anywhere near as good as the one they are up against today but it’s still possible.
