Sure. Laughing at you being such a failure in life that you've been reduced to thinking you're clever posting images on Smoaky. If you want to frame that as me being "butthurt", be my guest. :)

You know about as much about me as you do rocket science, Jonny ... good luck with your Jumbo led aggys in 2023 ...ย ๐Ÿ˜‚

Since 2012, one team is 90-48, one team is 78-59. One team has 1 losing season, one team has 4. 1 team has 1 5-7 season, one team has 3 5-7 season. One team has been through 2 coaches, one team has been through 4 coaches.ย

Itโ€™s like arguing about whoโ€™s the taller midget. The records speak for themselves. Bothe teams can underperform. Both teams can have hope โ€œthey are back.โ€

Lmao, but now Kurt is making excuses as to why his whorns won't win the Alamo Bowl. You know, the same way he kept saying A&M was making excuses when over half our team was hurt?ย

The hypocrisy knows no bounds. But I guess that's why nobody wanted to see him and why he's bored at home trolling a message boardย ๐Ÿคฃ We've gotta cut him some slack. This is a tough time of year for him!

Not that I want to get in the middle of a lovers quarrel, lol, but Iโ€™ve actually posted about this before.

ย

You canโ€™t simply go by overall records with this comparison, as the two teams play different competition, specifically OOC. For example, A&M plays what most consider 3 automatic wins every year (except this year). Texas generally has 1 of these games.ย
When you compare the two against P5 teams only, the records are nearly even. When you compare the two against ranked teams, the records are nearly even. When you compare the postseason for the two, again, nearly even.ย

No argument from me that A&M could schedule better OOC games, but letโ€™s focus on the Texas side of your comment.ย
ย

2022 ย Bama, UTSA, ULMย

2021- ULL Arkansas Riceย

2020- UTEP (Covid year)ย

2019- LA Tech, LSU, Riceย

2018- Maryland, Tulsa, USC

2017- Maryland San Jose st, USCย

2016-ND, UTEP, Calย

2015-ND, Rice, Calย

2014- UNT, BYU, UCLA

2013- New Mexico, BYU, Ole Missย

ย

Now looking at that, I think itโ€™s fair to say thereโ€™s at least 2 give me wins on the schedule (for a school of Texasโ€™ caliber) for the last 4 years including the not counting the covid year. ย If you want to call Maryland something other than a give me game, I guessโ€ฆ they only had 4 winning seasons in 10 years prior to their meets with Texas but I guess itโ€™s power 5 so Iโ€™ll allow it. Similar situation the previous two years with Cal and the two years before that with BYU.ย
ย

My point is, itโ€™s been at least 5 years since Texas has played โ€œonly 1โ€ gimme win and even 5 years after that Iโ€™m generously calling it 2 but if Texas was anywhere close to the program they think they are that 2 is a sign of how down they have been if the 2nd team isnโ€™t considered a gimme win.ย

All that to say itโ€™s not really a relevant argument. Is A&M getting 2-3 give me wins a year. Absolutely. But Texas is t exactly scheduling a juggernaut OOC schedule either. There SHOULD be 2 easy wins on theirs as well they just havenโ€™t executed.ย

Thatโ€™s why I said generally plays, for Texas. Because youโ€™re right, there are some years they play 2. And maybe I used the term โ€˜gimmeโ€™ too loosely. All I meant, is that for the most part, Texas schedules 2 of their 3 OOC games against โ€˜Majorโ€™ opponents. Meaning, P5, or equivalent. BYU is not a P5, yet, but historically is good as most P5 teams. So not counting the COVID year, Texas only has 3 years in those above with 2 โ€˜gimmeโ€™ games.ย
ย

My main point, was the records are much closer when comparing only P5 opponents.ย

Looking at the records, remind me why Sumlin got fired? Pretty damn salty

Recruitingย

ย Yea he was pretty freaking lazy after the first two seasons. Roster mismanagement was the biggest thing. He also couldnโ€™t win at home. His only meaningful wins were on the road and every time he got a big game at home to take the next step with the program he laid an egg in a big way. I mean blowout losses or huge second half meltdowns. Basically just did enough to keep his head above water but for a program that just spent 750 mil on a stadium remodel they were not satisfied with the results.ย

Cause BMAs think we deserve to be competing for titles so they money-whipped a national championship winning coach. I didn't dislike Sumlin, honestly.... He was what he was. Decent years every year but never going over the top except year 1 with Johnny.ย
