Yep, for the first time in a long time, Texas has for the most part a staff that can develop and recruit.  I was never on the "Fire PK!" bandwagon as the guy had a decade plus of fielding high rated defenses and we saw huge improvements on that side of the ball this year.

You couldn't ask for a better LB haul than what Texas signed.  Sark made a pretty good point in the presser yesterday about these guys have actually been playing off-ball LB and not Safety or somewhere else that you'll have to train to play LB.

I wish Texas could have gotten one more interior DL and another DB, but other than that I don't think you can complain about anything.

I’m still not a fan of the Def playcalling.  3rd downs were awfully predictable.  Just curious as to how much/little influence Gary Patterson has on the def gameplans.   PK helped the DL out in development though, no doubt.

Offensively Sark is a first half genius.  He just needs to get rid of the coasting mentality.  Score, score, score.  The defense will feed off of it.

If we could just land a Suh or Aaron Donald type, 👀👀👀

We might have that in Sydir Mitchell, he is an absolute beast from a very successful HS program. Watching his highlight reel you can see him rag doll or just send players flying.

That's a key and common denominator from a great amount of Sark's recruits: winning.

So many times in the past, we've gotten a "4/5 star" that came from consistent 3 win situations.

Sark is bringing in a lot of guys that have won state titles or at the very least, come from successful programs.

Better Safety than WR imo.

Pretty great at both.

The route running and burst is what has Sark drooling over him. He's also pretty strong...he's a nightmare against man and press coverage.

Huge pickup for Texas.

Sorrell, Finkley, Collins or Burke. Coming in is Vasek, Akana and Gullette. We aren't lacking there, we just need to develop the talent there.

Finkley played inside this year.  Collins sat on the sideline a lot behind guys that couldn’t get the job done consistently.  Sorrel flashed at times, other times you didn’t know he was on the field.  Burke barely played and is an unknown.

Have faith. Another year in the system pays dividends.

Lesser programs will take a chance on him because of his talent and, where they can, will look the other way as needed. Rinse and repeat.

Hall has had a tumultuous college career, and that includes a transfer from Alabama following a suspension for a violation of team rules, and then once he got to Texas, he scrubbed all mentions of the Longhorns on social media.

Hall also was arrested at Texas for criminal mischief, and also suspended by coach Steve Sarkisian.

Hall played in 3 games for the Longhorns in 2022, and made 1 catch for 7 yards.

Well aware of this.  He has spurned two big-name programs.  Not sure if another big-name program will give him another go, hence the lesser programs comment.

Yea, and I for one didn't think any P5 programs would pick up Denver Harris after what he did at A&M. Wrong on my part.
