After a historically bad season this peach of job is open yet again. Who in their right mind will want this job? Heard they are building a new stadium that's taking over a year to finish, no turf and no home side press box. Tom Bean being Tom Bean.

Wow!!! Seriously, who does that?

Someone will take this job... why?  If you can come in and catch lightning in a bottle and win 4-5 games, that catapults you to something better.  Coach Derpy Derp, worst WR coach ever at John Brown High, thinks he is great and that he can "fix" anything football related will apply to this.  He will blame all 10 losses on the refs and his assistants.  He will be fired/reassigned 2 years later and never be seen or heard from again at the HC level.  This is a vicious cycle until you get a dedicated, smart coach, with a real plan and is given enough resources to implement them from 6th grade-HS.

Hey now, take it easy on Coach Derpy Derp. He's a great coach and a better man!

actually, he'll get an assistant or maybe even a coordinator job at another small school because of his HC experience........there he will toil for a few years then snap up another HC job......that's how it works.....

Y'all be nice to the Tomcats.  I've heard some rumors that will shock some people if true.  Predicting Jerry World appearance in 2 to 3 years.

Rumor in the texoma area is that they already have their guy and apparently he's currently coaching in the college ranks. Couldn't tell me where or weather he was head coach but this was a done deal before they made the move to move on from the head football coach and the softball AD. Must be a ton of money on the table to leave the college ranks. Really interesting if this true.

Kind of depends...the money is not thar good at most schools. Really doesn't matter if its D-1 or not. Lots of D-1's assistants make less than assistant high school coaches. It's a long hard road and incrdible grind to hang in long enough to make decent money at the college levels. Really tough on your family too.

Hard to hold a fish fry without any fish ... but there's always someone somewhere who thinks they're smarter and better than the ones who tried and failed ... more often than not, they, too, end up in the cut bait bucket.

Rumor is that some dads of home school kids in the Bells school district are trying to gather up players and get into Tom Bean.  Not to go to school there, just to play.  Tom Bean apparently is only school in county that will allow home schoolers to play for them.  I don’t know if that is true but have heard a few mention this.

Heard something similar that they go to a local private school but they play 6 man. All are 8th graders so I chalked it up as fake news. No way your firing people and ruining peoples livelihood over trying to get jr high kids to come to your school.
