Its how the business works but he went about it all wrong. There's a reason they went 1-9. Great points, Center can say what they want but Ponder won there and they went 1-9 this past season. He's won everywhere he's been. Center New Supt ran off Ponder and that guy is anti-athletics. Center needs to worry about there own Supt. There will be a "reason" why they make the playoffs next year as well. I guess everyone will become "smart" all of a sudden? Or maybe learn how to coach? I'm seeing 2 playoff wins(unless I missed one). One against 2-8 Clarksville and one against 4-6 Connally. Every 6 years he has been averaging a first round win against a team with a losing record. Have to play defense to win playoff games.

You can win throwing the football. But you can't control the weather. I remember that 97 Rogers team: Hutka and Co with their run and shoot offense......UGH. We lost that semi-final game at Kyle Field and it stung. My father-in-law used to joke about that game: their "run & shoot" offense vs our "stand & watch" defense! My father-in-law has a little bit of a sense of humor! lol

Seemed to be the guy but apparently the family was unhappy here. Which is unfortunate but understandable. So really only 3 guys left since 2009. Its really not the way it seems. A few of the guys that got head coach were basically appointed and not hired. We haven't really gotten to do a good deep head coaching search and hiring process since Horn. Tenaha gonna make a great hire this time I'm fairly certain of that. Not much turnover at all until recently. I applaud the Tenaha kids for being able to stay competitive. Generally that doesn't bode well for a program to have a different leader every year or so but these Tenaha players have just kept it together, grinding and winning ball games. It will be nice for THE KIDS especially if they can get somebody in there that wants to stay a while and build some continuity. You know how kids are: they buy in and become very loyal. Of course like you said, Greezy, the last three have been inside hires so the kids already had relationships with them; I'm sure that has made it easier. All the best, Greezy! Maybe your guy will be it. lol 1982 (8-3) 245- 91 Raymond Jackson1983 (9-2) 285- 63 Raymond Jackson1984 (4-4-1) 162-131 Raymond Jackson1985 (2-8) 152-235 Raymond Jackson1986 (7-4-1) 211-194 Raymond Jackson1987 (10-3) 284-182 Raymond Jackson1988 (1-9) 66-390 Raymond Jackson1989 (3-7) 95-177 Raymond Jackson1990 (5-5) 204-201 Raymond Jackson1991 (8-3) 261-172 Raymond Jackson1992 (11-1) 420-106 Raymond Jackson1993 (11-2-1) 438-184 Raymond Jackson1994 (7-3-1) 225-141 Raymond Jackson1995 (5-4-1) 273-216 Raymond Jackson1996 (14-1) 599-223 Raymond Jackson1997 (11-2) 607-225 Raymond Jackson1998 (16-0) 653-148 Raymond Jackson1999 (1-9) 90-306 Raymond Jackson2000 (2-8) 186-322 Raymond Jackson2001 (10-4) 377-272 Mike Bickham2002 (10-2) 485-113 Mike Bickham2003 (1-9) 100-366 Tim Landrum2004 (2-8) 150-346 Tim Landrum/Earl Claiborne2005 (5-5) 338-281 Scott Tyner2006 (8-3) Scott Tyner2007 (10-4) Scott Tyner2008 (8-3) Scott Tyner2009 (13-1) Terry Ward2010 (7-4) Terry Ward2011 (14-0) Terry Ward2012 (10-5) Terry Ward2013 (11-2) Terry Ward2014 (11-3) 509-313 Terry Ward2015 (8-6) 435-289 Craig Horn2016 (13-1) 684-47 Craig Horn2017 (15-1) 748-120 Craig Horn **Class 2A-D2 State Runner-Up**2018 (10-4) 487-310 Greg Jenkins2019 (5-5) 256-212 Robert Tamplin2020 (10-3) 526-243 Jeremy Jenkins

Why would they be wanting to come back now? Hmm. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. The whole “the grass ain’t always greener” is a real thing sometimes. Takes leaving to know just how good they had it. So if a couple of those guys decided they wanted to come back, not shocking. Tenaha is a good job and I’m sure they have great memories of their experience there. I could probably guess a couple; one for sure. Lol

A little strange? Drawing sides? Maybe all of the above but DEFINITELY INTERESTING!
