Why did Center go 1-9? The Supt at Center wanted his own guy. Its how the business works but he went about it all wrong. There's a reason they went 1-9.

Great points, Center can say what they want but Ponder won there and they went 1-9 this past season. He's won everywhere he's been. Center New Supt ran off Ponder and that guy is anti-athletics. Center needs to worry about there own Supt.

There will be a "reason" why they make the playoffs next year as well. I guess everyone will become "smart" all of a sudden? Or maybe learn how to coach?

How much winning has he done the last 12 years?  I'm seeing 2 playoff wins(unless I missed one).  One against 2-8 Clarksville and one against 4-6 Connally. Every 6 years he has been averaging a first round win against a team with a losing record.   Have to play defense to win playoff games.

Play defense run football to win in December.

97 Rogers team showed me all I needed to know.   You can win throwing the football.   But you can't control the weather.

I remember that 97 Rogers team:  Hutka and Co with their run and shoot offense......UGH.  We lost that semi-final game at Kyle Field and it stung.  My father-in-law used to joke about that game:  their "run & shoot" offense vs our "stand & watch" defense!  😂😜🤣 My father-in-law has a little bit of a sense of humor! lol

Ward left after a lot of success

Horn left but I don't think he saw Tenaha as long term

Greg Jenkins stepped down but stayed on staff

Templin stepped down but is still on staff

Jeremy Jenkins had been in Tenaha left and came back.   Seemed to be the guy but apparently the family was unhappy here.  Which is unfortunate but understandable.

So really only 3 guys left since 2009.  Its really not the way it seems.

A few of the guys that got head coach were basically appointed and not hired.  We haven't really gotten to do a good deep head coaching search and hiring process since Horn.   Tenaha gonna make a great hire this time I'm fairly certain of that.

Not much turnover at all until recently.  I applaud the Tenaha kids for being able to stay competitive.  Generally that doesn't bode well for a program to have a different leader every year or so but these Tenaha players have just kept it together, grinding and winning ball games.  It will be nice for THE KIDS especially if they can get somebody in there that wants to stay a while and build some continuity.  You know how kids are:  they buy in and become very loyal.  Of course like you said, Greezy, the last three have been inside hires so the kids already had relationships with them; I'm sure that has made it easier.

All the best, Greezy!  Maybe your guy will be it. lol

Boys basketball hire was a great hire.   Whoever hired that man is still at Tenaha.   We're about to establish the next Tenaha dynasty.

If you guys get this hire right then I agree. This 7th-Soph group you guys have right now have a chance to be special in football and basketball.

Stingem, would it be intriguing if 2 of those guys were wanting to have their old job back?  Why would they be wanting to come back now?  Hmm.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. The whole “the grass ain’t always greener” is a real thing sometimes. Takes leaving to know just how good they had it. So if a couple of those guys decided they wanted to come back, not shocking. Tenaha is a good job and I’m sure they have great memories of their experience there. I could probably guess a couple; one for sure. Lol

The really interesting part will be if the committee decides to interview any former coaches. That would be…….well, interesting! Awkward? A little strange? Drawing sides? Maybe all of the above but DEFINITELY  INTERESTING!  😂🤣
