See, for most of our country's history, we didn't have to announce it, as we just limited our selections naturally to white men. To acknowledge the diversity of country's populace and to work toward representation that is reflective of it isn't some criminal offense against anyone. It should be seen as progress. Poor, poor white men. 😪

You just said a mouthful sir!!! He won't understand as usual

Biden filling campaign promises!! Nominate the first black woman to hold the highest courts of the land

Break history sir!! 👏👏

Judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.

So the dimocrats completely disregard qualifications and character,  as long as they get a black woman ... let's go with it strictly for political gain ....

I'm sure there are dozens of qualified black women in America ... but MLK has to be rolling over in his grave at what this racist man in the highest office in the land has reduced this to .... smh ....

Nobody has a problem with appointing a black woman to the SC, Jett .... it's the blatantly unconstitutional and racist way Biden is doing it .... not to mention how he is simply pandering to the African American community .... surely, you are smart enough to see that .... do you really think he has any other motive? .....

What he should have done was consider the best candidates, regardless of race and then nominate the top candidate ... instead he had to make  production out of making race and gender the ONLY factors that really matter ....

What's illegal about it? Or unconstitutional about it?

Check out what dimocrat law professor Johnathan Turley said about it .... he lays out a very compelling case for exactly why it's unconstitutional  .....  in a nutshell,  it arbitrarily discriminates against everyone that isn't black or a woman .... the SC has specifically ruled against what 🔌s is doing ....

I think he'd already made his pick and he was going to announce it the next week.  It was a woman.  If he said he was only going to look for a woman to be on the SC, then yes, that would be discriminating.

Announcing you are excluding all but one race and sex from consideration for a job opening is completely illegal and unconstitutional in every other context.

The only problem I have with it being a black woman is they'll probably be some leftwing loon that thinks the Constitution is a living breathing document.  The only way it is are by amendments by Congress.  The last time an amendment was passed was in 1971.  I already know it's going to be a leftist leaning socialist.

Actually for early voting in Delaware you do it by absentee ballot. I believe that system is also fairly easy. I believe in 2020 it was around 20% of registered voters there did it early by absentee ballot.

If you look on page 2 of the absentee ballot application, you will notice that to get an absentee ballot you have to have a social security # I just can't believe that Delaware would have voter identification--and yet, some on here complain that voter identification is bad.

Disclosure of your social security number is requested so that each individual who is registered to vote is identifiable in an accurate and efficient manner. This disclosure is requested pursuant to 15 Del. C. Section 5503 and 5 U.S.C. Section 552a note (Section 7 of the Privacy Act of 1974, Public Law 93-579). The disclosure of your social security number is voluntary. If you choose not to disclose your social security number, you will be assigned a nine (9) digit identifying number during the processing of your registration. Your social security number is used as necessary for administrative purposes relating to voting, including to identify you as a registered voter, to insure no individual is registered in more than one place, to verify address, voting districts, and other information and may be used for any other lawful purpose. The registration application containing your social security number will become part of the registration records of your county.
