What’s weird is out of all the 4x4 teams we’ve had medal at state, I can’t remember any individual 400m guys getting medals besides a kid in the late 90s. Sucked a guy up that was over 50 meters ahead of him on the final lap of the mile relay. Jason got the stick and guy in front of him was over halfway to the 300M mark. At one time had UIL 200m record with a 20.8 but the 400 is where he looked so fast because like your bro told you, there would be nobody even close to him. People absolutely hated to see Tatum show up to track meets. We left a track meet in Gladewater one year because of the bitter cold.
