I think JT was the last freshman team to beat Longview, so it's not a shock to me that they can pull one out every few yrs. In my opinion, talent isn't the main issue at JT. Also expected that Forney squad to be a little better than they were.

Did Longview have multiple losses that yr, because I am sure JT beat Longview freshman 4 yrs ago because it was last yr's senior class that did it. It was 3 years ago, I mistyped. Lost twice in 2019, but 2018 was the really awful season. Went 5-4-1. Came on really well late in the season. 2018 was that year that Tyler won (on top of Lufkin, Rockwall and Rockwall Heath). We're good for a down freshmen season once every 4 or 5 years it feels like currently (2013 went 3-6 before going on a long run of unbeaten then 2018 came etc). That's just kinda how Forest Park is most years. Even back when I was coming up, it was Foster and Judson. I don't think they're necessarily void of talent...they just don't have what Foster and Judson have. Think about this special defense, Billy Smith, Jaiden Simmons are Forest Park products.
LoboFan07
Not 7-5A or 8-5A talk, but Burleson Centennial leading Denton Ryan 23-16 late in the 4th quarter. Ryan hasn't lost a district game since they were in 6A back in 2015.

Longview at North Mesquite - It gets ugly, ugly. Lobos roll. Lufkin at McKinney North - Game that should decide the final playoff spot barring a North upset of Forney. Just hard to see Lufkin driving all the way to McKinney and coming away with a win with the way they've played the last three weeks. Forney at Lancaster - Lancaster rolls. West Mesquite at Tyler - Extremely close game with the Wranglers getting out of Tyler in the 4th quarter with a W.

I swear I read 48-0 Boulter I'll know sometime today, but Boulter 8th has been heavily impressive so far this year. Undefeated. Have only given up 12 points all year. I wouldn't be shocked if they beat Judson. Aside from Boulter just flat out being good, Judson has dealt with key injuries all year.
