Fill the defense with extremely well coached elite level athletes. Carthage, China Spring, and PG over the last several years.

In the same breath, there have been games Gilmer has put up yards and points against some of those elite teams. You have a phenomenal staff that has won a LOT of games. This offseason they have added two previous head coaches to the offense. There's a group coming up there that is supposed to be special, can't remember what grade it is though. Should be fun to watch for a while.

this isn't college, where the coach recruits HIS KIDS...

these are Gilmer kids that have played under Metzel in some capacity all along...
