Any positives to this? AD? Money? Teaching? Athletic classes coming up? Facilities?

The AD is the head basketball coach. A former DC I believe so not an anti football guy. Think he was made the AD for stability. He's been there a good while, and doubt it gets taken away from him. As to money and teaching because of that, no clue.

Really nice indoor workout facility/ locker rooms/ coaching offices on the ballot for May 7

Should probably pass as they have a new solar farm that will pay for it.

Do they have more Jimmy's and Joe's coming on the ballot???  That seems to be a need

Sounds like it could be a good opportunity. Maybe a coordinator at a good 3A or 4A school that knows what it takes every day to be successful. Never know what schools are specifically looking for though.

What if they know what it takes to be successful every day but there are still no athletes? asking for a friend

No Jimmy's and Joe's on the ballot; I certainly agree with you that is a need.

However if someone could get the Jimmy's and Joe's they have to buy in to football they might at least be respectable.

No deep playoff run in the future

That’s not bad. Confidence, even if it’s false confidence, can go a long way with teenagers. If you can get through that 4-0, and then maybe pick up a win against Redwater, that gets you to 5 wins. Might be optimistic, but whoever lands this one just needs to have something positive to build on going into their first offseason. Obviously they’re not real athletic, but being tough and disciplined can keep you in some games. Try to build your program and maybe next realignment sends you back west.

They were 3-1 going into district last year (should have been 4-0, but Edgewood had a few more athletes).  If it wasn't for a botched hook 'n lateral then they most likely would have beat Chisum to start district(P-Land up late in the 4th), it was returned for a 50 yard scoop and score the other way.  After that they took a few beatings from Dekalb and D-Field and never were the same.

Kids aren't coming out for high school football over there.  You may have a good # in JH but the last few years when HS hits, those kids just don't come out.  They need a coach that can get on their level - a younger coach, one who is trying to take that next step but just isn't ready for an AD spot.

If someone would come in and work to build the program, then they can be competitive, plus in a few years that AD spot might open up for him. They just have to understand that you need to work with the kids you have and plan to what fits them best.  Just my 2 cents

Pats fan heard a rumor Paris OC is the guy. Confirm?

Not sure, but he was at Prairiland for a few years before heading over to Paris
