How close those point totals are on the boys side, I would say that every school had fun and something to cheer about.  Just from afar, looks very competitive

Most of the meets leading up to district were the same way between 15-5A squads on the boys side.  Longview would win a meet, Marshall would win another, Whitehouse won one...... everyone would have on and off days.....but all of them would be competitive.

Thrilled to see Marshall back on top.....I think the last district title was in 2019 or so.....esp in a district that includes Longview and generally Tyler (even though they struggled this year).

I fully expected Longview girls to dominate....they been blowing everyone out all season.  Disappointed to see Marshall girls so low...they actually had a really good spring.  Won several meets.... must have had a really rough day in MP.  I expected 2nd/3rd.....   they are still sending a nice contingent to area though.

Coach has us headed in the right direction in just his 2nd year.

Pine Tree (20-12), (5-7)
Marshall (9-17-2), (1-11)
Tyler (2-24), (0-12)

Game 12 on 4/14
Hallsville beat Longview 3-2
Texas High beat Marshall 4-3
Whitehouse Vs. Mt. Pleasant 6-0
Pine Tree beat Tyler 23-0

Hallsville seized control of first place with a win over Longview.  WH and the Lady Lobos are knotted up for second with a season split between the teams.  MP sits in fourth with Texas High just one game behind.

I read Tyler High got a loss to Pine Tree in Baseball earlier this yr changed to a win because Pine Tree used an inelgible player. I think that makes them 3-7 in district.  Not sure the last time they won 2 district games. Probably the 90s.

Tuesday night proved to be a night of upsets for several teams in district 15-5A.  Texas High shocked Whitehouse 14-4 to hand the Wildcats their first loss in district play.  Thanks to Hallsville's shutout win over Tyler... The Bobcats and the Wildcats are now tied for first place at (10-1).  This sets up a MONSTER game Friday night as the two battle it out for the district championship.  Whitehouse won the first game.  Marshall had an upset of their own Tuesday night with a 5-1 win over Longview.  With Texarkana's win, that puts the Lobos and the Tigers in a tie for third place at (6-5) and a split in their series.  The win keep's Marshall's faint playoff hopes alive.  PT's win over MP dropped the Tigers into a 6th place tie with Tyler.

It’s a shame how little coverage there is for the area track meet.

Can’t find team standings or scores and times.

Just a ton of random twitter posts from different ISDs.

Coaches should do better to get the info out there.  Media should do better getting it published.

shame. Shame. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

We use a software that instantly publishes official times to our district schools.  Not sure why the important track meets can’t use stuff like this.

It would also be interesting to find out who chooses the area meet location and the requirements to host that meet

Since the split north/south 5A districts in east Texas…… Whitehouse has been deemed the most central between Texarkana/MP and Huntsville/etc

Rose stadium track can’t be used anymore since the last renovation.  It doesn’t have all the lanes it’s suppose to anymore.
