Wild74
I am afraid with these loons running the show it will not last, the economy will collapse under the weight of massive spending and inflation, gasoline prices will rise again once the oil reserved are expended.

Ok, so lowering unemployment and adding jobs is a bad thing with your math... when we're losing jobs and unemployment is high you post links and talk bad about policies... once it's lowered you say so what we're not back to zero SMH

If I can get my 70 thousand back on my 401K I would say that part is looking about even, its going to collapse and you know it there is a price that is going to be paid I just hope they can cure inflation, since I am retired I hope for the workers sake employment will stay low and jobs plentiful with as many undocumented illegals coming in there will be a lot of competition for work, most likely cheap jobs. DB2point0
I read 385,000 are part time jobs. last night they were saying the jobs report were going to disappoint. Today they’re shocked. Seems maybe there’s possibly some cooking of the books. 1

Who gets credit for job numbers? Did you give former Republican Presidents (regardless of who they were) credit for good job numbers? Or was it someone else? You also have to take into account that, no matter who is in office, that number is artificial. By the way, consumer confidence is DOWN. https://www.conference-board.org/topics/consumer-confidence And the "misery index" is headed upward. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1324607/us-misery-index/ https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_misery_index Check out the five-year. There was a spike in April of 2020 to 15.03 (likely COVID related, but I have no data to back up that assertion), then a decline into January 2021, and it's been gradually increasing since then. Right now it's at 12.66.

DB2point0
All week long companies (big corporations) have posted average or bad earnings and gave foresight to definite layoffs in the short term. And we get a jobs report saying lots of companies are hiring more……. Lol some people are naive

As far as jobs go, Plugs has just about broken even where we were prior to the lockdowns .... now let's see if he can create any real jobs ....
