Why the pistol or gun??

In my opinion pistol gets you down hill faster gun helps get side to side faster. I think its all a preference on where you run and how you block.

Not too many offenses that have more production than Gunter's pistol over the past 6 years.  They use all the players and all of the field.  No "three yards and a cloud of dust" in this offense.

It sure has worked well in Cooper since Casto brought it with him from Gunter lol

It’s real good if you’ve got a good ball handling quick QB with a good arm. If you don’t it’s no good at the small high school level. I watched our team try it for a few years. During that time we had some real good fast RBs and they were so underutilized.

Gilmer has been pretty successful for about 20 years NOT UP UNDER CENTER...they have combined a few looks over the years
