Plus an awfully long way to play Carthage. The Dawgs are starting to get it going. I just don’t think this game will be close.

I didn’t even look at their schedule and record.
cotton84
Manor is 6A, 9 -3 last year and returned 9 starters on offense and 9 on defense…..Cornerstone led Manor at halftime Friday 13 - 6. Last year’s Cornerstone’s team reminded me of China Spring in 2020 - played a lot of young guys, seemed to be well coached/fundamentally sound, just needed a little growth and speed……Do I think they will be as good as China Spring last year - no…….Do I think they will be quiet a bit better than Kilgore “was” in week 1 - yes.

BevBrownJr
My prediction is that regardless of Friday night's results, there will be a lot more traffic next week on the Carthage-Marshall game thread on this site than there is on this one.

He said they have very good players and play hard. I say Dawgs by 21.

mikehoncho
For the Carthage peeps: A hybrid team of Freshman and JV Combined played Pleasant Grove tonight and young Surratt and company won 43-14. 1
