Sounds likely Carthage put a foot to em twice in one night đź‘€..Bet going forward Marshall will make sure this never happens again. That is a blight on a good school systems image and nobody ever wants to have that.would guess that a police presence will be at every game in visitors area, the authorities don't want that image of their town being spread around either.

How far across the parking lot did the players have to walk to visiting locker room?  It was at the gym right?  Were there any uniform officers from MPD or Harrison County providing an escort?  I see this issue being more on MISD vs Carthage.

I was not there so take with a grain of salt, but I was told there was no officers present in the area at the time of the incident. And this is immediately following the game. While some players were still on the field talking with family.

So one would presume that the kids that went to the Carthage side ans started the bs,will be removed from the team and maybe the Marshall main campus, and if any were adults, they may be prosecuted for whatever?

The Marshall kids involved were not players, at least not current.

Hate to hear anything like this happening.  This really sucks.  Hopefully Marshall gets things situated going forward.  These things cannot happen.

Hope all the schools in the area pay attention to this and look for areas that need to be addressed going forward.

I am honestly surprised it didn’t get picked up by the locally media.  I’m guessing the probably don’t know about it.  Neither do the other schools in the area.

Not what you want to hear.  I suspect everyone will bare a degree of responsibility.  If they felt a need to take an alternate route back to Carthage, you would think there is a lot to the story.  Hopefully the matter will fade quickly.

Alternate route was due to some threats of retaliation made from a group that the one who got beat up is "affiliated" with.

And other schools around the area had as many or more move ins than CHS did this year.

We only had two move ins this year so I don’t know.

We also have players leave Carthage for more playing time, which was happening way back when I was in school.
All that stuff in really kind of blown out of proportion, but oh well.

Even if you take away every ounce of contribution from any of the players that did not go to Carthage schools from early on, Carthage is still 4-0. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ya know what you rarely see? Good players going to crap programs.

My point being, you have to be great before you have great players trying to join you. Oh and that “heck of a player” you are referring to has seen probably the 4th most targets behind 3 other top targets who have been here much longer and have been dominating.

He will have a bigger chance to shine next year when those 3 graduate, but for now he hasn’t made a big impact.

Over 60 miles would be the player whose mother moved to Carthage from Atlanta for a pay raise, and the player chose to move with his mother.

If talking about Dowden, he has ran the ball well and I’m glad we have. But the rest of what I said still fits and is truth. I could also see Matlock getting the majority of carries and producing just as well, as he has ran very well when it’s his turn. Beechum has also come in and made some great runs as well. I think the O-line is run and pass blocking better this year than compared to last year.

So much better.
