Good job as usual 09.
I’m with you on Brock.  They’re better then that record indicates.
I’m not sure if Franklin is the top team in 3a d1.
Time will tell.

Franklin is giving up a lot of yardage/points.  I know they are dealing with some injuries.

I don't think we really know who the #1 team is at this point.  I do know if Columbus and Hitchcock played 10 times, I'd say Columbus wins 9 times.  Everything would have to go right for Hitchcock to beat them.  Hitchcock looked really good in 7 on 7 because it highlighted all of their strengths.  Kickoffs/punts are a real issue for this group.  Netting 15 yards on punts will not get it done in December.  I believe I have them accurately ranked.

Columbus has pretty good line play and has really committed to being a more dual threat attack on offense.

I take it you went an watched Columbus/Madisonville game.
What is your opinion of Columbus’ skill players?   Comparable to any teams the Yoemen have already played?

Understand LRAcademy is down to their fourth running back.  Their freshman starter broke his foot.  The senior back got thrown off the team because he cussed out the HC about playing time.  Then this past Friday against Lorena their new starter broke his foot.
Injuries can wreck havoc for these smaller schools with depth issues.
Fingers crossed that the Yoemen can stay basically injury free the rest of this season.

Columbus has good looking kids.  They love to run go routes and simply let their receivers get down the field and catch the ball.  Nothing too flashy like what you saw from Connally, but talented across the board.  QB is not a runner and a key will be to make him make plays on the run.  Madisonville was simply owned up front on defense.  Columbus was able to put 7 in the box against Madisonville, but the Mustang pass game is average at best.

I agree with the Brock assessment.

I was comparing to Dave Campbells Top 10: They're not showing any love to Brock, West or Lorena for that matter.

LRA beat up injury wise concussion---leg injuries but it most likely will be a close game Friday at Yoe . Yoe homecoming  week does not always bring out the best effort on Friday nights.
