This invitation is for High School Head Softball Coaches only.  Bring your Varsity and JV to play in this Preseason Event. It's a jump on UIL practice which starts Friday, January 13, 2023. One Coach that sent his Team every year for 9 years says it really helped his team get ready for the upcoming season.  

 

Absolutely, No select teams will be allowed to play in this Event.

This High School Warm Up will be Directed by LGSA President William Peoples.  Jim Campbell will be assisting William.  

 

Head High School Softball Coach, 

The Longview Girls Softball Association (LGSA) will host the 13TH ANNUAL LGSA ARK-LA-TEX HIGH SCHOOL WARM UP - 2023 Tournament on January 7 & 8, 2023.  These dates are on the weekend just prior to Friday, January 13, 2023 (First day for Texas UIL School Practice).  Enter your High School Team in this Tourney, have a volunteer coach the Team and you come watch them play.  We have a 40-team limit with a waiting list.           

 

The Tournament will be held at Lear Park, 100 H. G. Moseley Parkway, Longview, TX on 8 Fields.  Come play with us.  It's good practice for the upcoming 2023 Season. Below is information on the Event:

13TH ANNUAL LGSA ARK-LA-TEX HIGH SCHOOL WARM UP - 2023
1.  January 7 & 8, 2023
2.  Hosted by LGSA at Lear Park, 100 H. G. Moseley Parkway, Longview, TX.
3.  High School Teams Only !!  JVs (4A,5A&6A) teams will play in the Small School Division.  No Select Teams !!
4.  Two Divisions - Large School (4A-5A-6A) and Small School (2A-3A-4A-JV).    

5.  Total Entry Fee - $200 (No Pay at Plate Fees).  Pay cash at the Event.  
6.  4 Game Guarantee (2 Pool, Double Elimination Bracket,  Blind Draw at Check-In).
7.  Teams Furnish Game Balls.
8.  Register your High School Team by the Head Coach (Only) calling me, Jim Campbell at 903-240-4125 (C).

 

After you call me and tell me your Team will play in the event, copy both of us in an email with the below info.

9.  Pay Entry Fee ($200 per Team) at Tournament Check-In that Saturday, January 7.

10.  Gate Fees - $5 Daily, ( Age 7 and under free). 
11.  Firm Registration Deadline is Wednesday, December 14 , 2022.  Registration will stop at 40 Teams.

Updated Information:

At this time we have 12 Teams that have entered the tournament with no JVs or Second Teams from any school.  We have Two 4-Field Complexes available so we should be able to play the event on Saturday Only.

 

Each team will have 2 pool games that will lead into a 12-team bracket where you will play the other two games. Pool scores will not matter towards the tournament bracket.

 

Teams will draw for Bracket position at sign-in (cash only).

 

Teams in the event are Lancaster, New Diana, Mt Vernon, Kaufman, Shelbyville, Spring Hill, Henderson, Longview, Hallsville, Lovelady, Prairiland and Overton. 

 

Sign in early because the pool games will start at 8:00 am Saturday.  Pool schedule and other info is forthcoming.  Text me if you have any questions.

Mr. Campbell has cancelled the tournament in Longview.
