Lion7000
I still can’t believe Carthage hasn’t even trailed much less had a competitive game. PG just doesn’t have the horsepower to beat Carthage. Add in the fact their oline not as strong. = Blowout
house
If Carthage is as good as I think they are, I'm expecting a 35 pt. spread. Jumping the gun a bit but if the dawgs can advance, Glen Rose seems to have a pretty balanced offense.

Good luck with that. They literally never trailed. That is difficult and impressive at any level.

What if PG does the same thing? Let’s be honest those big Soph DL were sucking wind at the end of the Gilmer game.

The defense as a whole really never gave up anything big besides the one pass play for a TD. For Gilmer to have ran the ball as they did all season, they were shut down and well below avgs for the season. I think PG is gonna play hard and depending on the matchup of their defense vs Carthage, maybe keep it close for a few quarters. I do think Carthage will run away with it at some point though. They could do the side to side running but not the throwing part there rb playing qb is not a qb

Well, one of Carthage’s guys just covers about 2 yards each side of him(very well, I might add)…..the other will sometimes have a 220 or 180 lb guy try to block him…..I think D P would love to have P G run straight ahead at his guys. If he isn’t at least 90% or doesn’t go at all, that put’s #70 starting with not much depth behind him with meaningful snaps. I’d expect PG to test Carthage on the edges early and often. And I can tell you from first hand experience that #2 throws better than #17 for Gilmer. He’s not getting recruited for his arm, but don’t sleep on his ability to get the ball down the field to his WR’s & TE’s when he needs to.

bansheefan03
I'm curious if they stay as a three man front like against gilmer or go back to there 4 man front they run majority of the time
