If poor white history was taught in schools it would end racism within 10 years.

How long are we going to live in the past? .... Are we going to be selective of what history we teach and try and erase the parts that doesn't fit our narrative .... Either we include all of our history or we will never learn from it ... tearing down historical monuments and trying to change the historical narratives we don't like is not the answer ....

That revisionist crap is about as truthful as CRT.......but carry on and continue showing you're just a brainwashed tool...........

Now if you choose not to believe it that's one thing but there's primary sources that back this up. In the south we were literally taught false history about the Civil War. I usually enjoy our banter but on this one I'll just say you're entitled to your opinion and I'll leave it at that.

"Primary" does not mean RELIABLE, nor does it mean TRUTHFUL......there are MANY "primary" sources that back up the existence of bigfoot, UFOs, and a flat earth ......

Poor whites were oppressed as well to some degree, but they just kept on trying to put food on the table.  Many moved, because they couldn't make it where they laid their claim in all parts of the country so they heeded the call to "Move west young man".  I do agree that blacks did have it worse, unfortunately because of slavery.  As I've always stated it should have been done away with at the founding of our Nation.  Some of my kinfolks were sharecroppers as well.  They did what the did to make do.  To me that's not oppression, but opportunity, and that is what America is all about.  Unfortunately today, the left wants to change that to where all people are poor except the elite.  That is where people have Socialism of America wrong.  While today it is harder than in the past to go from rags to riches thanks to Government intervention and taxes.  It can still be done.  The Democrats desire to where we are all poor and dependent on the Government.  The only way our Government could do something for people is to let us be free, and decrease taxes.  With welfare and handing out water, government cheese, and other social programs they are basically doing as the wealthy did to the poor in the past by giving them alms.

I understand that many poor white people in the South still hang onto the Confederate flag, because it symbolizes where they live and some of their ancestors fought for the south.  As I've said in the past I've never owned a Confederate flag, but if someone wanted to give me a replica Dodge Charger painted orange with the Confederate Battle Flag on top, I won't turn them down, and I wouldn't repaint it.  I think it's an iconic car, just as the Batmobile is.  I realize some like the Battle Flag, because they want to be a "rebel".  They feel a part of a group, and all races and cultures have groups like that, but today only white people that want to belong to a group like that are ostracized as white supremacists.  Yet, it's okay to proclaim Black Power or Latino Power.  There isn't any difference.  If you think there is then you're as racist as they are.

Unfortunately you're right and it's sad to me bc they're waving the flag if their oppressors. Thay thinking is the result of the Confederate widows who were losing influence and rewrote the history books. I know we spoke privately about this before. Ever since the inception of this country the military has been full of poor people trying to put food on the table and not necessarily joining because they believe in the cause. Poor people in this country have been fighting against their interest during this country's entire history.

A lot of whites don't realize how oppressed their families were which was by design because the elite ruling class knew that is blacks and whites banded together it will start a class war which is a worse thing to them.

Never heard Latino power before but as far as black power. That came out in 60s to try to empower an oppressed people and at no point did it mean ending another race. On the other hand, the majority of the groups yelling white power are hate groups who have done horrible things to minorities.

Funny you brought that up. Those statues was part of the United Daughters of the Confederacy's ploy to recreate the narrative of the South while writing the history books. They were romanticizing the South. Truth is, if your family wasn't a slave holding family, that south is not your history. All this was done to stop a class war.

I did a while back on a Civil War post and all you did was 😴

Also you never asked. Just give me a part of my post you want me to prove and I will get it for you and if i can't, I'll just change my statement from fact to opinion. You make things way too complicated.

If you made a post and i asked for proof and you asked me of what, I could tell you. With that being said. Remember what I said about the Daughters of Confederacy rewriting history. The Book "A measuring Rod" lays the groundwork for the formation of the committee that approved textbooks in the South and their requirements. This is from the Virginia State Library. Scroll down a quarter of the page and click on the link with the actual book.

@DaveTV1 I remember a while back you spoke about tariffs being a huge cause of the war, which was indeed taught in history books. Check out page 5 of the book, the title of the page says "Warnings". It explains why the history books said slavery was not the cause of secession. Would love to here your thoughts.

These revisionist history kooks are as bad as the Flat Earth Society with their network of blogs and manufactured unverified phony "evidence" .... Somebody makes an unverified declaration about something they have absolutely no proof of and it's considered evidence to their kook following ....
