But they have run for 300+ yards in 8 of 14 games. Perhaps all this talk of the GR QB being a “gun slinger” is off base. The numbers say he’d prefer to just run it. Gilmer didn't run the ball well enough and couldn't throw the ball well against Carthage. I think Glen Rose “could” put up 3-4 scores in four quarters in perfect conditions (indoors at the Star). I see them going hurry up early to see how Carthage responds. Lots of read option and RPO’s. Their problem is going to be holding Carthage to less than 3-4 scores. Carthage will be able to line up and run straight at the Tiger defense.
