Interesting stat I just saw over on setxsport, Surratt is 72-7 in playoff games.

Yes…….His brother is a soph and supposedly better than his brother was 2 years ago……..But the senior was $$$$$ this year - will be surprised if he doesn’t get a few lower level offers.

I think they are...lol. I know he is one of the highest paid coaches in the state. Also, there is a 9th grader there that shares his last name that will probably keep him there for a few more yrs

You chill out bud. I already knew he was the 2nd highest paid coach in the state. That's why I mentioned staff. I feel if you do your job better than your peers. You need to be paid according is all I'm saying. The Carthage coaching staff does their job better than any staff in the state in my opinion.

Hey man years ago when Carthage won their 1st few state championships. Y'all use to come on here beat Y'all chest about Coach Surratt and how great he was. I thought y'all were full of bull . I thought they just have a great class and y'all would come back down to earth just like every other program. After that 5th state championship I was like nope. He is that good. Every since then I have never doubted what y'all say about him on smoaky.com.

It took a long time for sports writers and other sports media folks to recognize how special this coach and his program was.  I think being in east Texas and not central texas was some of the reason.
