Cautiously optimistic. Looks the part. I suppose A&M is tad better than Penn state. He is building his resume and has a good QB .Β

He has shown he can take lesser talent and play with teams with more talent. Β He is a good play caller. Β Will be interesting Β to see what he can do with elite talent

I think with a healthy Qb which is very good and a reshape offensive line you can do a lot. The factors that stopped the Aggies from a playoff spot was outdated and too conservative play calling , offensive line was really bad, Injuries. The first two can be fixed so you should see a better team. I am not convinced it happens next year but they’re in a good position. Β I like the hires and hopefully they settle the DC. I don’t know if Durkin is still available or they go a different route.

Much of this was expected when Robinson left. We will see if any guys decide to come back.Β

In today’s world it’s expected to gut most of your roster in the coaching change. Elko just needs to be aggressive in acquiring talent as opposed to just trying to keep it.Β

I wish they would announce who the DC will be. I know the OC and line coach was top priority, but do they roll with Durkin or wait for the NC to be over and buy the best? I wanna be optimistic and the schedule is more favorable than last year!Β

Yes, as in the portal IMO.

QB Max JohnsonΒ
WR Raymond Cottrell
OL Remington Strickland
OL Jordan Moko
DL Walter Nolen
DB Jardin Gilbert
DL LT Overton
TE Jake Johnson
OL Chase Bisontis
DL Fadill Diggs
CB Tyreek Chappell
CB Deuce Harmon

Who are the biggest losses here? There's some bench guys, there's rotation guys and there's starters. Nolen is the most talented. Bisontis and Chappell are starters at weaker positions. Overton was solid. If Elko works the portal better than Jimbo to add some pieces to what we currently have 12/9/23 on the team, we're not in ideal shape but we're not UTEP bad.

E-Rob has stated he’ll coach bowl game. More worried about the back end guys than the D-Line guys. D-Line is a spot we could afford to lose a few. McKinley is a big loss. If Turner comes back, he’s better than Diggs. LT wasn’t a monster, Hicks will be better. Nolen’s stars looked good, but he disappeared down the stretch. Chappell and Gilbert are dudes it’s gonna suck to lose. Gonna have to find a boundary safety too with Demani leaving. If Edge leaves, which he prolly should, that’s a huge loss. One of, if not the best LB in the nation. Kid just constantly produced, was the leader and could do all of it. Offensively, losing JJ doesn’t sting as much with Green getting back in the mix. Bisontis stings a little, think he’ll move inside and be playing football for a long time. Don’t know what to think of E-Stew. Every time I think he doesn’t want to be an Aggie, he pops off on the oh-so credible Gram or X and makes you think he might want to be here. If I was him, I’d want to play for Klein. Excellent scheme and plenty of explosiveness if he is the truly explosive guy we’ve heard so much about. I do think most of these transfers will all go contribute in a good way elsewhere, whereas all those transfers last year did absolutely nothing.Β

The name I heard that I was most excited about was the guy from SMU. But I also know he’s recruiting the portal pretty hard for the Mustangs right now. I know it’s an ever-changing landscape in CFB but I just don’t see that one happening anymore.Β

Has he left though? Didn't he agree to coach the bowl game?

So JF would help the program win. Β I know several Aggies who think he should be kept away from the program. Β I would agree

People adapt and learn from their past . He is relatable and seems to have humbled himself. I could be wrong but he wasn’t a cancer or bad teammate. He made bad choices and surrounded himself by folks that took advantage.

The guy literally was a no show last week for a paid event. He was seen at a basketball game instead. Also, watch his documentary. Hiring JF would be a HORRIBLE idea for the program… so of course I’m all for it.πŸ˜‚
