Charlie Kirk Is a Harmful Idiot

So he can't speculate about the vaccine being a cause, but they can all say it was due to a blow to the chest. In 70 years of NFL football, how many heart stoppages have been recorded due to someone being hit by another player in the chest?

So what you are saying is that as coaches we should tell our athletes to not get vaccinated and that would keep us from having to go through yearly training dealing with blows to the chest that could stop a heart.

As a coach it’s none of your business to tell kids what to do about their healthcare.  NFL mandated the covid vaccine and a 24 year old prime athlete falls dead after a hit we’ve seen a billion times.  I think it’s right to question.

That's a ridiculously out of touch statement. Coaches shouldn't follow UIL rules and make sure all students have up to date physicals, shouldn't follow concussion protocols, shouldn't recommend nutrition or hydration, should allow them to play when injured or incapacitated with illness? They shouldn't offer voluntary heart checks, which is becoming more and more common?

Quick question. Do you coach in a school?

Guidelines yes, but healthcare no.  Too many coaches and cheer sponsors push kids to return quicker than necessary.  Their vax record is none of a coach’s business either.  Coach in a way that teaches kids technique that doesn’t injure them.  Once they’re injured it’s up to parents and doctors.

If hitting someone in the chest is the “only” factor in Damar collapsing from a heart attack, then Earle Campbell would have killed hundreds of NFL players.

Prayers for # 3…

P.S. Barry is a useful idiot

Fixed it for ya.

Earl was baaaaaad man. Jim Brown was before my time but for a few seasons Earl Campbell was the most dominant RB I ever saw.

Coaches shouldn't know or be involved in vaccination status of their kids.  Their parents are in charge of their medical care.  Blows to the chest from baseballs, softballs, lacrosse balls, etc. have been known to cause heart issues and we should be prepared to help kids/adults when those things happen.

But the point was, someone is a harmful idiot for brining up the fact that we have seen these things play out around the globe since the jab, however it's ok for everyone to assume it happened due to a blow to the chest that occurs time and time again in the NFL and we have never seen this before.  Can you name one instance where someone has had a heart attack playing football when being hit in the chest by another player.  And this player didn't have a full head of steam and isn't known as someone who delivers blows.

I'm not saying what the cause is.  This "Don't question the science" BS that is being spouted is as anti-science as it comes.

That's anecdotal and not true where I have ever worked. Encouraging someone to fight through a cramp or do their best with a headache or ankle being twinged is not the same as rushing them back. If a player is under a doctor's care, we can't ignore that at our own peril, much less the athlete.

To make that nebulous, unfounded connection, on top of the others, is irresponsible idiocy. Political points to be scored like he is going for can lead to someone neglecting their health to their deadly detriment, and that is documented.

Playing in a twinged ankle turns hurt into injured.

Can, and should, science be questioned, Barry? Pretty straightforward question.
