2023 ETCA HALL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED

 

          Longview, TX – Officials from the East Texas Coaches Association (ETCA) announced today the seven exceptional individuals, representing the sport of football, who will be honored during the 2023 ETCA Hall of Honor banquet.

 

          Hall of Honor inductees include:

Head Coach Mike Vallery – Kilgore HS

Head Coach Dennis Parker – Marshall HS and University of North Texas

Kyle Preston Assistant Coach Award - Clarence McMichael –Nacogdoches HS

Player – Matt Flynn – Tyler Lee HS, LSU, 8 year NFL veteran (7 teams)

Other honorees include:

 

Distinguished Service Award – Phil Hicks – Tyler Morning Telegraph

 

Football Official – Bobby Bain – Tyler Chapter

 

State Champions – Carthage HS

 

The East Texas Coaches Association supports coaches, parents, and student athletes through the promotion of football in East Texas; professional development for coaches; provision of scholarships and financial aid to coaches in times of personal tragedy.

 

The ETCA Hall of Honor Banquet will be held at 4pm on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at The Holiday Inn North – Infinity Event Center, 300 Tuttle Circle, Longview, TX.
