Lol,you know why..they ain't getting in a dist because they gonna take somebody out of a playoff spot 👀...you know I'm rite and teams are scared of that.

Yeah it couldn’t have anything to do with 6-7 teams in a D1 district having to go through the whole scheduling process an extra year, not to mention the ripple effect of adding an extra district game to their schedule, meaning they would have to cancel one of their non-district games that they are under contract to play. Has to be fear of Alto.

That's an issue also...but if you are a borderline playoff team why would you want to add Alto and have an extra team challenging for a playoff spot

Exactly this. While alto might not be as dominant as years past. Last years squad was solid and a definite contender for a 3-4 seed in a district. No one is going to willingly let extra competition come in and potentially take away their spot.

That might have something to do with it, but blaming the fact that no one seems willing to bail a school out that screwed its kids over by being stupid on their fear of that program is a stretch at best. Bottom line is, not a single D1 district out there has one good reason to throw them a lifeline, but a lot of reasons not to.

They should have been in the D1 district 11 and wouldn't have made the playoffs in it.  Garrison and Shelbyville beat them and Timpson and Joequin would have dropped 40-50 plus on them.

Maybe third behind CC and Centerville in that district.

Alto is a has-been coming up on nearly a decade of not going past the 2nd round in the playoffs.

You were right the first time.....it's too hard to redo a schedule......no one is going to waste time on it when the schedules have been set .....

Are all of the same players from last year playing on each team in 2023? Or, do teams lose/gain players each year?

Example: Center 1-9 2021, 8-4 2022 avg 53 ppg. 2nd year of a new regime (similar to Alto)

I'll be anxious to see if Joaquin, and CC replicate last season. Timpson and Garrison should be the class of the region. Alto would make the playoffs in any 2AD1 district.

As an Alto fan, it still disappoints me for these kids. The guys went out every week and played their hearts out with total pride for their school and community. Were 13 points from being 10-0 instead of 7-3. Actually could've won each of these games. The school district numbers in Feb when realignment came out were below the cut-offs. Their numbers remained under that cut-off even when the new school year started. Last I heard those numbers were still under the cut-off. We will bounce back, and when we do teams better expect a challenge from them Yellowjackets!!!!!

Joaquin will be in rebuild mode this year. 2 returning starters on offense. Will be replacing the entire o-line as well as two all-district RBs. The defense will be hit hard by graduation as well. There are a bunch of good kids ready to step into those spots but you don’t lose that much without feeling a little pain. Add that to the fact that pretty much everyone on the schedule will be improved over last year and it’s easy to see that we have our work cut out for us.

That is my view as well and the primary reason I was countering the previous poster. Last year means very little for this year (especially) in 2A schools where one class can mean so much.

They need to fix that clock in Alto. Never seen anything like that ever with the clock jumping the way it did when we played them. Can really change a game quick when it glitches the way there's does.

That’s strange. Garrison’s clock did the same thing when we played over there last year. Maybe the scoreboards were made by the same company and it’s a manufacturer’s defect.
