What is your definition of success?

Nac has some athletes. They should it's a city of 30,000 plus. That's not the problem. Discipline as you know is Nac main problem in my opinion.

Discipline ?????  What issues have you seen from Nac lately that shows we have a discipline problem ?.
Out of the last four coaches only one didn’t take Nac to the playoffs and that was Ford

Harper

Ford

Reyes

Allman
that is a form of success. The  problem is it hasn’t been consistent.

Nac has 26k in town but a large population of retirees. Nac has the athletic participation of a mid size 4a school. They also lose a huge amount of Athletes to the small schools like Garrison, Central Heights, Woden and Martinsville.

Well the US census bureau has Nacogdoches at 32,000 and some change. Everyone loses students to surrounding areas.

Not worried about how many ppl live in town just saying that we have so many retirees that posting the size of the town means very little for the athletic dept. Nac is a challenging job for sure. We have had "some" success by coaches. We have made the playoffs but no wins since 1992. Lots of losing in between playoff years.

Y’all are losing football players to CH, Woden and Martinsville?

Since those schools don't have football, then technically they aren't going there for football but it is kids that could play football if they weren't leaving the district in middle school.

Softball, Baseball and Volleyball lose the kids for sure.

Losing football players to to become 1 sport athletes after 8th grade… baseball, basketball, and soccer. Nac now has jr. High baseball and soccer, and 9th grade soccer. This affects the total program. Heard there is less than 30 kids in varsity- JV football offseason.

Yes this!!

I have heard the numbers in football offseason are low, however there are a lot that play basketball and baseball that also play football.

Getting the kids into offseason workouts will be one of the challenges for a new coach.

Unless they figure the Jr Hi Situation out, get the right people on the School board, and start caring about Football, things won't change.

And what’s sad about the jr high is they have more success in football than the high school does. This current school board does care because they pushed for this change. The superintendent wasn’t here when Allman was hired.
