Well deserved imo. I’m ready to see him play at the next level.

I’m ready to see him bring a title home first. Lol

If your coach had more creativity you’d have WAY more titles already.

Just the truth, don’t shoot the messenger.

And yes, I realize he’s best coach in Longview history, but that doesn’t make him the best coach out there.

He's the most respected coach in east Texas.

lol Pittsburg , Van Alstyne , Gilmer , PG, Glen Rose , Wimberley.

Crosby, Lone Star , Port Arthur , Mansfield Timberview , Aledo .

Surely you see the difference…LV lost to the state champion 17-14 in the last minute of the game.

outside of Carthage (probably could beat Crosby and Lone Star , not so sure about the rest) none of the teams the dawgs played in the playoffs last year would have made it out of the first round in 5a. @HearEmaGrowlin

Spring Hill’s* Tatum

Obvious trolling attempt is obvious, but going to an SH campus a couple of years doesn't make him a "Spring Hill kid."

He's a Lobo legacy. Also played Lobo peewee sports.

At Spring Hill he’d probably be playing in his 5th different offense before the first carry of his Sr year

Our baseball coach is a lot better than theirs too.

One of these days we will figure out how to keep our kids from moving and maybe even attract some others from around.  One of these days.

One of my nephews started a Panther (K-9) but has since transferred out.

There are some cultural issues that need to be addressed.

Pretty impressive how in 3 statements you can do so much.

The Lobos always play deep into the playoffs. I just wish they developed their QB in lower levels. If can do both run and pass equally well. You end up with state championships. Aledo is a good example in the higher class.
Carthage is the example in 4A.
Lobos always has one of the top defenses in the state but you gotta pass to set up that bad to the bone run game.

I shouldn’t have brought it up, sorry.

I wasn’t referring to Carthage when I said he’s not the greatest coach out there, he just isn’t.

Tatum was never "yours" though. Lol

He played little league for the Mustangs. He came on home where he was supposed to be.

Stop being so sensitive ANTI.  The point is not whether Tatum is ours or not.  The point is SH needs to make some adjustments to create a culture where athletic kids want to stay and others want to come be a Panther.

Good place to start would be having the AD the Head Football Coach.

But we don't.  I have been pleased with the AD thus far for the most part.  He is fully aware of the culture issues and is working with the coaching staff to slowly address them.

Pretty sure he spent some time in Carthage as a youngster.  I worked with his Dad,a Carthage grad, and they lived here then.  Wish he was here, but happy as heck to see him in the green and gold.  Hope they get that title this season.  I will be cheering them on every game.

I am assuming he is related to Roscoe Tatum? IIRC he ran track at TCU back in the mid-80s.
