Como-Pickton was so close!  Had runners in scoring position multiple times late in the game but just couldn’t punch one across.  Weimar was a mature team with recent championship experience and never stopped grinding, even with 2 outs and an 0-2 count in bottom of 7th.  Hats off to CP Lady Eagles though.  First team in any sport to play for a state title.  Only two seniors on this team.

CP did fantastic!! Weimar and Crawford have incredible programs that make appearances at the state tournament almost every year!! I didn't expect it to be that close!! CP should definitely be proud of those young ladies, they represented well !!!

Aren't the teams seeded and then matched up by those rankings??? Sure doesn't seem to still be done that way with Crawford vs. Weimer matched up in the first round.

Basketball and baseball - best 2 records are seeded one and two, then coin flip(or similar way) determines who those teams play…….been done that way for a long time.
Softball probably done the same way.

Thats what I thought. Been out of it for a few years so I thought they might have changed it because of the matches this year.
