It is 100% true.  A job CAN be posted when a coach says it can be posted.  Just because there hasn't been an official announcement doesn't mean that someone hasn't said "hey im leaving after this year is over".  It happens all the time.

I just know how every school I’ve been at has operated, and they have all required resignation letters to post a job.

If a school anticipates adding a coaching position then they would have no resignation.  Of course, sometimes the anticipated addition doesn't happen and they'll use those applicants to fill a position that opens later.  Nothing to see here.

The original ideas posted were about coaches in established positions supposedly leaving, not about anticipated openings for adding a coaching position.
