That's when the city of Tyler had some real talent. Not this great value talent we have now.

😂

At least you guys have a new staff.

We living off of government cheese and stale coaches in Lufkin.

How many lives does Coach Q have down there??? It seems like his deep rooted association with the Late Coach Outlaw has the Lufkin Administration in a peculiar situation where they refuse to make a sound, rational decision in the direction of the Lufkin Panther Football program. I think you have to ask yourself if he didn’t have said association, would he even still be Lufkin’s Head Coach???

I don't think it matters who the coach is if you don't have the kids that can play. A good coach is only going to mask a few problems. Dabo finding out it was never about him at Clemson. You better have some Dawgs.

Naw, Bro. Look at Lufkin prior to Outlaw arriving. Look at the Carthage Bulldogs prior to, Scott Surratt arriving. Y’all got to stop making excuses for him UNLESS you’re satisfied with where you’re at NOW compared to where Outlaw had you guys at THEN.

Truth is Outlaw was struggling in his later years at Lufkin. I'm not saying coaching has zero effect but you better have some dudes at the end of the day.

Good coaching makes the dudes. They identify talent early and cultivate it. I have seen schools go from a few D2 guys to multiple D1 guys in two years. Winning also increases your participation numbers which increases your talent base. A coach needs to good at what he does and also be a good fit. I have seen good coaches take on bad fits and the results are not good. Too many folks think you can plug and play great coaches and it just does not work that way.

I'm not saying coaching doesn't matter but best believe talent matters at some level and that has a lot more to do with Lufkin struggling these last few years then coaching.
