Tyler high is 2-0 for the first time in awhile and I hope Tyler can keep this going!! I do think this will be hardest of the three preseason games. I think this will be close and Tyler will get to 3-0 for the first time since 2016. This is first time we started 2-0 since 2017. Beat Horn!!

No way does JT beat Horn this year. Your gonna face a true dual threat QB and a super fast defense. This game has not been competitive since JT beat Horn by 5pts in 2012. Every game since then has been a blowout one way or the other. I'm gonna say Horn 38  JT 21

This ain’t a Holmes lead team you’ll see Friday. I’ll leave it at that

I don’t really know much about horn this year but I do know they have one of the top OT in the country 6’6 305! Sheesh but also it’s not saying much beating probably two teams at the bottom of their districts same thing for Tyler. Both teams won’t be truly tested until Friday. I think it will be a good one. I like Tyler by 10 since we are home.

This Horn team is young but really talented. I think I counted 8 sophomores on varsity with 5 them getting significant time. It's junior/sophomore dominated team but has some talented seniors. DE Armstrong Nnodium a Oklahoma State commit that goes 6'2 260lbs. He looks more like DT but because of his strength he plays DE. This kid is as strong as ox and plays like it. If you want to see what trajectory Horn is own simply look at North Crowley. Will this game be streamed.

It won't be streamed by Tisd. I don't know if NHFS is streaming it or not.

2012? I guard you forgot 21 was close. Even the other games were “blowouts” the only real blowout was when we put up 69 on y’all in 16. And last year game. Other than that most were pretty competitive

Horn's pretty dynamic and only getting better...big WR on the outside named Lott has 3 TD catches last week, 6'5 kid committed to Boston College...QB is a sophomore but super talented....DE committed to OK State is a handful...very disruptive...Horn's better than last year, Tyler is a lot better than last year....should be interesting

I won’t be shocked if we win and I won’t be shocked if we lose.

the one thing that Coach Woods is great at doing just looking at the last two games is shorting the game. If he has the change to keep your offense on the sidelines that is what he is going to do. Cujo ate up 7 plus minutes of the 3rd quarter. He has no problems winning low scoring games.

I expect a similar strategy this week...Horn can't score if the offense is sitting on the sidelines...I think the game being at Rose with a rowdy crowd will be a big edge to Tyler...when the Lions are good Rose is a hard place for DFW teams to come into

I’m just sad that i won’t be at this game. I will be in Greenville watching one of my cousins play for Chapel Hill.

This is very true. Woods has no problem winning 10-7 or 14-21 game. He will eat the clock to infinity lol

Last year game was 41-27 which I do not consider a close game. I remember the game you guys put up 69 hence me saying it is typically a blowout either way. I'm happy to see JT back on the road of relevance but they are still a year behind Horn IMHO.

You have to have a good running game to shorten a game. Horn is allowing 77 rushing yards a game while JT is averaging 91 yards a game. I know for a fact that this will be the best defense JT has faced so far. They will have to nearly triple their rushing average to shorten this game. I can't see that happening. JT will need to cause many turnovers to have a chance in this game.

That is why games are played and not just talked about. And you don’t have to run the ball all the time to shorten a game. As long as the sticks are being moved and your still on the sidelines that is all that matters.

Last year game was 43-6 y’all’s way. 41-27 though as a side I consider close because 1-2 bad mistakes can make it a game. Seen it for us and against us. But like you said horn will be more up to speed but don’t count out coach woods. He has the pedigree and experience to put his team in a position to win. I know it was legacy but to score 28 unanswered and 0 points allowed  in the second half is something Holmes could never do.
