Pass complete over the middle to the 2yd… Game over…. Tigers win

Give the game ball to the clock operator. That’s the most blatant case of home cooking I’ve seen. Had to put time back on the clock 3 times in the 4th quarter with the visiting team driving. Totally unacceptable. Run the clock fairly and let the kids play it out on the field. Hats off to the Tigers. They played a great game. Both teams left it all on the field like we expected. But to see an adult inject himself into a kid’s game like that is just plain ridiculous.

Perhaps home clock took place somewhat…. But I have seen that at other towns as well… but in tight games the clock management is costly. Everybody remembers the last :02 but the offense team needs to hustle to the line and walkn to sideline every play waste precious seconds you would like to have back at end of game…

The three turnovers that were converted into points by Tenaha were huge as well. And our clock management has never been great by any stretch. Not making excuses for that. But at some point blatant cheating has to be called out. One time could be considered a mistake. Twice you could say that the guy just doesn’t know what he’s doing (even though it happens at the most opportune time to help the home team. Three times, he knows exactly what he’s doing and he’s doing it intentionally. And that’s the times that the officials caught it. It happened several times that he got away with it. There’s no doubt that it had an effect on the outcome of the game. That said, I’m proud of our kids for digging in and overcoming their mistakes. It would have been real easy to phone it in when they went down 22-0. They never quit. This game was a big step forward for a young team.

Tenaha clock operator looks like a saint compared to Beckville…. That Bearcat cheats like hell and has for years

No argument here. And considering the situation with the official shortage, those deals are not getting any better. There’s not enough officials to cover games now without adding one to each crew to run the clock. By the way, this probably doesn’t get said enough, particularly from a fan of the team that lost: that crew called a good game. There were probably a couple of missed calls that went each way, but no bad flags at all and no egregious no-calls. I wish we could get crews like that every week.
