No players were ejected by the refs. I cannot speak for Marshalls player but the Carthage player you are speaking of was benched for talking back to Surratt. Good news is no players are missing time next week for stupid penalties last night.

nope. I asked because I find it fascinating that a school of Carthage size could dominate a solid team like Marshall 2 yrs straight in a similar fashion Longview has dominated them.  It ain't that serious for me to start some beef. It was a serious question.

Maybe I should have asked how does Carthage stack up with big schools.  The question was really asked because I am a huge fan of what they are doing and I would love for them to show the state that they can stack up with many schools pound for pound.

by the way, I think they are much better than my school.

Carthage and Longview don't play and won't play. No reason to worry about it. Longview is an outstanding program, and I don't think the Dawgs could play with them.

I want Carthage and Longview to win every game they play.

We can end this discussion, because I didn't ask it to troll.  Maybe I should have asked the question in a different way that didn't include Longview. But I respect both programs and I always see Longview fans complain about their schedule.  Carthage is better than every school in East Texas and there ain't a rule saying they can't play each other because of their class difference. I just want to see great football, and I think this would be an outstanding game.

Although it’s true that LHS runs a system that is not overly complicated, I don’t believe this should be included as a factor in their consistent and tremendous success under Coach King. It seems to me that Coach Surratt at Carthage has proven that high schoolers - including East Texas high schoolers - can succeed using complex systems. 

And I guarantee that all the plays Surratt call fit his players abilities.

Both King and Surratt get the most out of their players.  Heck, Longview wins 9 games a year no matter if the qb is div.1 or a fat middle age guy...LOL.  

Many schools, including JT, have tried to fit a square into a round hole. Can't ask a kid to be Lamar Jackson, when he Ryan Leaf.

The first sentence of your second paragraph could be the subject of a separate thread, but it would just be a rehashing of threads from late November or December from all but one of recent years past.
